𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 and Jack Harkness waited in the shadows of the Universe for their next con. Anyone would really do, between the two they'd be able to twist and lie their way with a wad of money in their pockets. Although, it had been weeks and no ships had passed them yet, the close capacity turning the two against each other.
It was possibly worse than the time Jack had been stuck in a time loop with John Hart. Victoria had worried her head off and Jack ended up being stuck in their with him for five years.
Then it came, finally it came. A police telephone box whipped through the time vortex, catching them off guard with the odd exterior.
Victoria shook her head, before moving to the controls to shoot the warship out into the space before the box. It blared mauve as it spun around uncontrollably, jumping in and out of time streams.
"1941?" Victoria contemplated.
Jack had made the destination, watching how the warship maneuvered.
"Yes, have you read much about it?" Jack asked, his eyes on the sky in front of him but he still glanced over to her out of the corner of his eye.
"Mm, bits and pieces. This is a critical moment for one of the biggest wars of the twentieth century and even the twenty-first. Not very advanced technologically for a 1900 year old society, but the cooking was good."
Jack grinned at her commentary, they'd have to get accustomed to the society quickly and even having a little background could go a long way.
"Hopefully we can get somewhere with what we lost," Jack muttered.
