Dear Muse

It's a shame you had to leave me so soon. So eagerly awaiting to desert me.

But why did you stay? You pierced into my mind, lingered within my soul. You've moved my being and gave me something to live for. Every passing day you entranced me within your euphoric grasp. I was forced to create, the endless hunger to create. It was never satisfied, you left me when I stood hungry still.

It was my promise, my commitment. To satisfy my hunger to create, I had to devote everything. It was my promise to the enlightened. The enlightened must receive from me what you led me to procure.

Like every poet needs the pain, like every blade of grass needs the rain, I need you.

I travel, aimlessly. It feels like every word that emerges from my mouth has been used, like every idea that spawns within my mind has been thought.

- Yours Truly
