Holy actual crap. 5th chapter in one day. I have a 6th in my head as well. I have no life. ;^;

Your POV:

You were the kings second to top advisor, though you had never actually met him, you wrote letters to him almost daily. He replied to every single one, and every time you saw his long and slanting, majestic hand writing, your heart fluttered.

You hoped to be promoted one day, to be the first woman to ever be the King's top advisor.

One rainy, dreary day, a servant delivered a letter, telling of the death of George's top advisor. The king wanted all of the other advisors to meet him, so he could pick a replacement.

You were excited, you were going to meet the king, and you might get promoted!

You quickly called in a servant, and she helped you pick out a perfect outfit, and did your hair. You were wearing a fancy suit, similar to the ones the men would be wearing, but a bit more feminine.

You had her do your make up as well, and hair, and you looked super good. You grinned at yourself the the mirror, then called a carriage from your house to the palace.

You were quite nervous about meeting the king as you stood in the lobby.

"What is a woman like you doing at a meeting of the king's advisors?" Asked a particularly snooty man, looking at you with disdain.

"Oh, I'm an advisor as well, sir." You introduced.

"A woman as an advisor? You should be fired immediately. No offense meant, of course." He said. You glared at him.

"Well obviously the king doesn't think so, otherwise I would have been fired long ago." You replied coolly. He looked ever so slightly surprised at your retaliation.

"Indeed, Mr. Wright. I'll see you in first." A regal voice said. You gasped quietly and whipped around, seeing the king himself standing there. You felt your face heat up.

"U-uh, yes sir!" Mr. Wright said, following George into his office. You blushed even more as you noticed the king wink at you as he walked in behind him.

You took a deep breath. The other 5 advisors stared at you, probably judging you. You glared the men down, and they immediately looked away.

After a few minutes, the man walked back out, looking terrified. The king called the next one in, until all of them had gone, and it was your turn. You were trembling. If you said anything wrong, he could have you executed on the spot.

"You must be Y/n. I have been looking forward to meeting you in person ever since your first letter arrived." George said. You blushed. He seemed to take note of this and grinned wider, showing even more perfectly straight, white teeth. This made you blush even more.

"U-uh. Me as well, sir. It's a pleasure to meet you." You replied, curtsying. It seemed like the right thing to do.

"Anyway, sit down, please." He said, motioning to a couple of comfortable looking chairs in front of the fireplace. He sat in one, and you sat in the other.

You didn't talk about anything political, just personal things, which surprised you. He asked about your family, siblings, and politely inquired about your social status. You were pretty high in the ranks, and you didn't mind.

Finally, a question about your job arose.

"So. What makes you want the job as head advisor?" He asked. You went off on a long and beautiful speech about womens' rights, at the end of which the king was speechless.
