(Sam's POV)
What was I supposed to do? This was probably my only chance to hang out with George... but... Wouldn't that be kind of betraying my only friends? Did I really want to do that to them? No... But I really didn't want to just reject George. What the heck was I supposed to do? I could basically hear the readers saying to say no, but did I really want to? Maybe I should take their advice? But... What if... Okay, readers, hear me out. What if I said yes to George, but every time they asked for information, I gave them false information? I could be the spy on the inside. And I got to hang out with George! I would just have to make sure that the SDR wouldn't find out I'm lying to them.
So, when it came time to see George again, I was a little nervous about this. Was I really going to take him up on his offer? Would my friends still accept me if I told them what was happening? I really didn't want to lose connection with my OTPs... Was I certain I wanted to do this? My heart skipped a beat when I saw George, just like it always does. I took a deep breath as he made his way over to me. Here we go. It was time to give him a response.
"So?" he asked, looking at me expectantly. "Have you made your decision?"
"Yes, I have."
"And?"
"George..." I took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, but I have to decline. I just care too much about my friends. I couldn't just betray them like that." That was it. I just declined my one offer to actually hang out with my crush. But... maybe he wasn't worth it. Not if he just wanted to use me for information, which, in all honesty, was probably all he was trying to do.
"Oh, I see. An honorable decision, but you may want to reconsider," he replied to me, not even faltering. It was as if he had suspected I would say that. "Imagine us." He placed his hands on my waist and suddenly it was harder to breathe. Did he really possibly like me? "The only way we could ever hang out with each other is if you were to join."
"I... I... Uh..." I couldn't think straight. Dammit! I knew he was just wanting me to join his group! Why was I so helpless around him? I needed to pull myself together.
"Don't you want to see me more often, Sammy?" he asked, giving me a look that just melted me.
"Uh, um, y-yes," I stammered out. He smiled at me and leaned in a little closer.
"Well, if you want to, then I recommend joining us. That way, it's a bit more... acceptable for us to be seen together."
"B-but my friends..."
"Couldn't possibly care about you the way I do." He pulled me closer to him. "Just imagine what it could be like. You and me. And all you have to do is join the SDR. That would only give you more power too." He moves closer so our faces were only centimeters apart. "Are you sure you want to decline my offer?" he whispered.
"Uh, um..."
(Maria's POV)
I was cuddling with my Peggy when there was a knock on the door. "I'll get it," Peggy said before standing up and walking towards the door. I heard a "Nope, goodbye." And then the door shut and Pegs sat next to me again.
"Who was at the door?" I asked.
"James Reynolds. I figured neither one of us wanted to talk to him."
"Well, you're right there." I smiled and kissed her cheek.
"Why does he have an interest in you, anyway?"
"He just wants me to join the SDR, that's all. That's why he keeps talking to me all the time," I explained.
"And why does he want you to join?" She gave me a curious look.
"Honestly, he says it's because he wants to protect me, but he's not like that. There's probably something he'll get out of it." I shrugged and sighed.
"Yeah, he probably wants to use your super good looks for you to try and seduce people into doing whatever they want," Peggy giggled, which caused me to do the same.
"Yep, that's probably it." I nodded in agreement, wrapping my arm around my girlfriend. "I love you so much, Peggy."
"I love you more," she said, grinning competitively.
"Um, no you don't. Because I love you more." And so we fell into that little argument.
(Thomas's POV)
Walking through the halls, trying to get to class, I was stopped by Andrew Jackson. I plastered a smile onto my face. "Yes, Jackson? Is there something you need?"
"Yes, actually. I need you to know just where your loyalties lie." He looked me dead in the eyes. Well shit.
"I do know where they lie." Not with you. "With the SDR. Why would they lie anywhere else?"
"If you're truly sided with the group, then prove it."
"And how am I supposed to do that?" I asked, cocking my head. What did he have planned?...
"Simple. Prove you haven't lost your touch. Call in a contact to target John Laurens."
"What? Why?" No way in hell was I going to do that. "What the hell did he do to you?"
"Does it matter? Either call in a contact, or I will. And you will get a severe punishment." Well shit. Again.
I watched as he walked away from me. Standing there, shocked, in the middle of the hallway, I ran through the conversation again in my head. I couldn't just do that to John. He had already been landed in the hospital once this year. And I was just starting to gain their trust. I couldn't just throw all that away to avoid a beating. I knew that he'd be targeted either way, but at least I could warn him about it. I sighed, calling in to my teacher that I had gotten sick and couldn't go to class. And the moment I put up the phone, I went to go try and find Laurens.

Two updates! Yay! Ooooh, I bet you guys hate me with the Kingbury thing right now, huh? There are a lot of things going on in the story right now, and I love it. I bet you guys can't wait for the next chapter, huh? At least to know what the heck happens. Okay, well I'll try to get the next chapter up soon. Until next time. Adios, Mishamigos.
