"I swear, Jungkook, if you eat that piece of fries, I'll fucking choke you," Taehyung glared at Jungkook as he reached to snatch the last fries which Jungkook had luckily grabbed.
"Not my problem," Jungkook stuck out his tongue, flailing the fries above his head.
"Don't get ketchup on my shirt, dude," Yoongi said, looking back at Jungkook before leaning over the table. He and Jin were at the booth behind Taehyung and Jungkook's. "So, he stopped messaging you just like that?"
"Yeah," Jin nodded. "I don't even know how to feel about it."
"You should feel thrilled," Yoongi answered. "But, do you think he has stopped for good?"
Jin shrugged, sighing. "I really hope. I want things to get back to how they used to."
"He doesn't still know about it?"
Yoongi nodded discreetly towards Jungkook.
"Are you gonna tell him?" Yoongi asked.
"I don't know, Yoongi," Seokjin replied softly, running his hand through his hair. "It's not ideal to do that. That's his brother I cheated on. He's gonna hate me."
"I think he'll understand, Jin. But more importantly, when are you gonna tell Hoseok?"
"I thought about it," Jin started. "And I think I'll tell him tonight."
"Seriously? That's great, man. Finally," Yoongi said, smiling.
"I'd have to drink myself to stupor first. I don't think I'll be able to stand Hoseok's reaction. It's going to be too much for me," Jin said, placing his head on the table and thinking about how stupid his life has been.
Yoongi reached forward and gently rubbed Jin's hair, soothingly. "Do you want me to be there when you tell him?"
Jin peeked up with a pout, then shook his head. "That would be too much to ask of you, Yoongi. Also, I think I need to do this on my own."
Jin nodded. "Yeah, thanks. In case I don't make it out alive..."
Yoongi laughed. "Yeah?"
"Know that I love you so much, and Taehyung too, even if he's an ass most of the time, and Jungkook, he's such a sweet kid," Jin said, pouting, his eyes brimming with tears.
"Aw, Jin, why are you crying?" Yoongi went over to Jin's seat and wrapped his arm around him, both their heads on the table. "Are you scared of telling him?"
"I'm so scared, Yoongi," Jin sobbed softly. "I don't wanna hurt, Hoseok. He's gonna take it so bad. I don't know what I'll do if he breaks down, if he leaves me. What am I going to do if Hoseok never wants to see me again?"
"You'll be fine, Jin, I promise. I know he's gonna get mad at you, for sure, and be hurt and disappointed, but I'm also sure that Hoseok loves you more than anything and will find a way to understand you and see that you didn't mean to hurt him. Okay?" Yoongi tightened his embrace. "You'll do well, Jin. It's good enough that you're ready to tell him, once you do that, you'll feel a hundred times better, I promise."
Jin sobbed more. His heart racing like an athlete on a treadmill. He was scared of losing Hoseok. He was so scared. He wouldn't survive it.
"Stop crying, okay?" Yoongi shook him softly. "Jungkook is going to notice soon and I don't think you're ready to explain anything to him."
Jin soon put himself together and decided to head for the grocery store. He was going to make a delicious meal and after eating, he was going to sit Hoseok down and confess his sins to him in full.
After his trip to the grocery store, his goods safely placed at the back sit of his car, Jin headed home to Hoseok. His complexion turned pale as he tried to replay in his head the words he'd say to Hoseok, how he'd say them, imagining Hoseok's possible reaction and how he'd fall down and just die if Hoseok walked away from their relationship. He'd literally kill the kid then kill himself later on, after writing a love/suicide letter to Hoseok.
"It's going to be okay. It's going to be okay. It's going to be okay," Jin continued to chant to himself, attempting to calm his heart beat, but deep down he knew it wasn't okay. It couldn't be okay.
Jin slammed his hands against the wheel. His body was filled with regret and repulsion. He hated himself at that moment, he had done the worst. He could never forgive himself.
Just then his phone rang on the passenger seat. Jin stole a glance and caught a glimpse of Hoseok's name.
He let out a shaky breathe, saying a little prayer before he picked up his phone and answered it.
"Jin," Hoseok called, his voice softer than usual. "Where are you?"
"I'm on my way home. Are you okay, baby?" Jin asked, worriedly.
"Yes, I'm fine," Hoseok's voice hitched. "But-" He paused. "Jin..."
"Baby, what's wrong?" Jin asked as he heard Hoseok sob quietly. "Hoseok, talk to me please. Why are you crying?"
"Jin," Hoseok called again this time his sobbing had gotten louder and heavier.
"Where are you right now?"
"H-hospital.... J-jungkook," Hoseok cried. "I d-don't know if he's going to make it."
