In the doorway stood two men who looked to be a few years older than me. The first one had black hair and chocolate brown eyes and he looked like a younger version of the king. The other one had silver hair and grey eyes that I would've found beautiful, had I not met my mates.
The first one looked around the office and when his eyes set on me, he stopped dead in his tracks causing the other man to slightly bump into him.
It came out as a mere whisper while he slowly advanced towards me. I tilted my head at him, wondering how he knew my name and who he even was.
Suddenly, I was crushed into a hug by him. I felt him sobbing a little and when he whispered into my ear it made sense.
"My little sis... I thought I'd never see you again!"
I carefully hugged him back which caused him to squeeze even tighter.
Finally he pulled back a little and looked at me with tear filled eyes, a slight smile on his face.
"I thought I'd lost you."
Then, as if something had clicked in his head, he abruptly pulled back and went to the other man who barged in after him.
"Angel, I want you too meet Illios Stone, my best buddy. Illios, this is my long lost younger sister, Angel."
A throat was cleared and we turned to see the king and queen staring at us.
"Oh and well, I guess, Illios is your fiance, Angel."
I stared at the 'Illios' guy and he uncomfortably offered me a polite smile which I didn't return. I know I'm rude but I don't care. Not when I know that the twins are waiting for me back home.
"Maybe you should take a picture, so you could admire longer."
It was the first time I had heard Illios speak. I rose an eyebrow in response.
"Oh I'm not checking you out. I'm just wondering how much pain you can endure from the torture that I'm sure the twins will put you through once they come to learn that I was supposed to marry you."
His eyes filled with fear even though he hid it pretty quickly.
"Who are those twins you're speaking of?"
I showed him my neck with the marks while speaking.
"My mates, also known as Xavier and Xander Slade, the twin Alphas of the Black Shadow pack."
This time he didn't even try to hide the fear in his eyes as they went wide, looking at my neck.
That wasn't the case for my 'brother' though.
I could hear my parents gasp at the new information of who exactly has claimed me as theirs.
"You heard me."
"No. Absolutely not. I will not let the wolves take my sister away from me for the second time when I've finally just got her again."
That made me narrow my eyes at him. Nothing comes between me and my mates and that's what I told to everyone in the room.
"But... you belong here, sis. With elves, with your family."
"No. I belong with them."
"Hey, so does that mean I don't have to marry you?" Illios finally got over his shock.
I quickly answered him before anyone else could.
"Yes, that means exactly that."
A large grin came on his face as I said that.
He came over to me and pulled me into a bear hug.
"Umm... what the heck are you doing?" My question was muffled into his chest.
"That's wonderful! We can be best friends now!"
He finally pulled back so that I could breath properly again.
"Oh, um sure!" I smiled at him warmly.
The others just stared at us mouths agape. Yes, even the king and the queen.
I smirked evilly at my newfound brother and he looked at me questioningly.
"Sorry brother, but I'm going to steal your best mate and make him my best friend now." And his jaw fell to the floor again, his eyes bulged out of their sockets while he stared at me in disbelief.
I smirked at Illios, my new friend and he smirked back, giving me a high five.
