unconscious?

You were running so fast, breathing so heavily that you thought your lungs will explode at any moment.

You received a visit from Dipper and his great uncle Ford, who was missing the past four days. He appeared just like he dissapeared, without anyone knowing and without leaving any traces. You already knew that something was off when you woke up on that morning, without Bill by your side. He was no where to be found, and just when you were about to search him in town, Ford and Dipper stood at your doorstep.

You were relieved that they finally found Ford, but told them that you were a bit too busy to have a conversation now. The eldery man instantly knew your problem.

"You're searching for Bill aren't you?" At that point you were certain that something must have happened.

Stanford told you how Bill held him captive in the past days. He wanted him to remove the barrier so that he could come with you, but when Ford didn't want to, the demon freaked out and let him go.

You were sick with worry. When Bill freaked out it was always a bad sign. And that was why you were running as fast as you were able to to get to him.

You arrived at the dungeon to see Bill on the ground, seemingly unconscious and all of his gold colours replaced with blue. Tears threatened to spill while you kneeled down to him, shaking him lightly and begging him to wake up.

But he had already given up when he heard your worried voice, felt your touch on his skin. Even though he wasn't really there, he was still there. But he couldn't get himself to wake up.

"Come on, wake up!" you plead, but to no avail. He didn't want to wake up. He didn't want to face you again. He wasn't up to arguing with you again. He didn't want to.

"Why isn't he waking up!?" you asked, tears welling up in your eyes while looking at Ford and Dipper who stood behind you. They didn't say anything, both refusing to make eye contact with you. You bit your bottom lip, a few tears already rolling down your cheeks.

"Please..."

"We should get out of here." Ford suggested, stepping forward.

"I can carry him to your house if you want me to. Should I?" You were glad that Ford was offering you his help, so you noded in acceptance and stepped aside so he could carry the demon.
You walked with them out of the dungeon, your eyes always on Bill. He almost looked like a broken doll, so fragile. You wiped some tears away, sniffing when you suddenly felt Dipper's touch on your shoulder. He shot you a comforting smile, but you couldn't bring yourself to smile back. Not then.

Arriving at your house, Ford carefully laid the demon down on your shared bed. A quiet 'thank you' left your lips when he turned around to walk out of the room, watching how you sat down next to Bill's lying form. They both left without another word.

Your fingers were entangled in Bill's now blue hair, caressing the locks with ease and care while your other hand held his. You refused to leave his side for the following hours, occasionally begging him to wake up from whatever state he was in.

Sometimes, his breathing would get heavier, or he'd even move a bit or wince. In those moments you thought that he'd wake up, but he didn't. It was almost like he was sleeping.

When hunger took over your senses, you left for the kitchen, making a small sandwich to satisfy your hunger and go back to Bill as fast as possible. In the middle of the making, your phone rang, the screen flashing with a message from your parents.

"One more week to go then you'll be back! We can't wait to see you again! <3"

Your eyes lightly widdened. It was such an imperfect timing for such a message, that you couldn't help but to tear up again. What if Bill wouldn't wake up in the next days? Then you'd had to leave without being able to say goodbye to him, and who knows what the people of Gravity Falls may do with the unconscious demon that almost destroyed their whole town.

The idea of asking Ford about the barrier yourself crossed your mind. Maybe you could get him to remove it.
Slowly making your way back to the bedroom, you noticed that Bill has switched his position. He was lying on his side, his blue hair covering his eyes. For a moment you yet again wondered if he was just asleep, maybe he passed out from sleep deprivation and too much stress?

You sat back down to him, watching how his chest rose and fell with every intake of breath. His lips lightly parted, gloved hands lying relaxed on the soft matress. He looked beautiful, even with blue hair. You couldn't help but to reach out and run your hands through his locks again, truly realizing how soft they were. It was almost like holding water in your hands, soft and light, but noticeable. For some reason, it helped you to calm down.

When your eyes caught sight of your digital alarm clock, you realized that it had gotten pretty late. You got out of the bed again to change into your night clothes, brushing your teeth and getting ready for bed. You checked your phone one last time, sighing at the message that your parents had send you.
Lifting the covers, you laid down close to Bill, running your hand through his hair one last time and placing a kiss on his forehead before going to sleep.
