"W-what's happening to me?!" Chrysanthe asks, while freaking out. "I don't know!" Sophia says defensively.

Chrysanthe has powers. I thought Ryder and I were the only ones. But, she doesn't look like an alien..

"Has this ever happened before?!" Tyler asks worriedly. "No, never!" She responds quickly.

"Maybe we should tell my mom.." Chrysanthe suggests. "What, so she can take you to a lab and get you experimented on?" Sophia replies sassily.

"She's right, she might even do it herself. I mean she is a famous scientist." Tyler says lowly.

"Guys, no one is getting experimented on. Especially not from Chrysanthe's mom. I'm with Chrysanthe, just tell your mom, she might know something. Like what happened could be genetic. Or she could have been in a freak accident recently-"

"-Have you been in a freak accident?!" Tyler interrupted. "What, no."

I sighed. "I think we all should go now, let Chry talk to her mom."

We all got up, hugged then went downstairs.

"Hope you don't get experimented on." Tyler whispers under his breath.

"Oh my gosh." I say in an annoyed tone.

So, we all headed home and Chrysanthe will get back to us, hopefully.

"M-mom? Can I ask y-you something?"

"Sure, you can ask me anything. What is it?" I say calmly. I wonder what this is about.

"Can I know more about m-my dad?"

Anything except that. "Actually now is not a good time." I say getting up from my chair.

"Mom, I'm 16 turning 17 later this year. How long are you going to keep the truth from me?" She says with annoyance in her voice.

She's right.

I sighed. "What do you want to know?" I say calmly.

"W-was dad a robot?" She asks calmly. "What do you mean a robo-"

16 years ago

I was looking at pictures of Jack and I when I heard a soft knock on the door.

It was Kara..

"Sorry. Sorry. I didn't had you." I chuckled. "You're distracted." Kara infers.

I looked back at the laptop before saying "Busted." Making Kara chuckle softly.

"So, uh..." She clicks her tongue. "Sorry about last night." She laughs nervously.

"Yeah, yeah that was..." "-Interesting..."

"Weird." Kara corrects.

I laughed. "Mike seems nice, though. Maybe we can do a proper double date sometime soon." I suggested.

"Yeah uh... I actually came here to talk to you about Jack."

"Um..."

"I've been investigating him..." She starts "Yeah, I can tell." I laughed.

She looks down nervously.

"Lena, Biomax is dangerous and he's trying to cover it up."

End of Flashback.

Biomax. The project that ended up getting Jack killed.

"Mom!" Chrysanthe says, snapping me out of some sort of trance. "H-he is a robot isn't he." She says nervously.

"What, no. Well sort off."

"How did you find out about Biomax?"

"Bio-what?" She says confusedly. "The robots." I answer blankly.

"About that.. Mom, I saw myself turn into it. It was confus-"

It passed onto her. But how. They need something to control them. Plus she shouldn't have remembered turning anyways.

"Nanobots." I say dryly. "What?"

"Your father created Nanobots. But he could never get it right. He merged with them, but never had control. That's how he ended up getting. Killed."

"Am, I going to die?" She says fearfully.

"You know what, forget about it. I don't want to hear you talking about it anymore."

"But mom.." "No, this conversation is over!"

And with that, I led her out of my office, looking absolutely defeated.

Alright guys, I'm wrapping this chapter up now. I know it's super short, but I'm making a second chapter today. Since Tyler won the previous vote, you're going to get to see a chapter of him.🙂
