                                                He showed his love in little ways, never too obvious, just in case he didn't return his feelings. But it got to the point where he was basically yelling his feelings and Laxus didn't notice.
  Freed had to watch as Laxus complimented woman after woman, kissing them while Freed pretended not to care. Laxus never noticed anything different.
  After a while, Freed gave up. Laxus had never said anything that might've given him hope that his feelings would be returned. He was just a friend to Laxus, nothing more.
                            "Hey, Freed?"
  "Yes, Laxus?"
  "Is your hair different? You look nice."
