I am so sorry for how inactive I have been on here. I have been so busy with summer and i haven't posted in far too long! So here is to me trying to post more often:)

"Just breathe (Y/n)." Katniss tells me, placing a hand on each of my shoulders.

"You're right" I take in a few deep breathes.

Today is the day. It is finally the day that Finnick and I get married. It all happened so quickly. With all that is going on in the world around us Finnick and I decided that we didn't want to wait any longer. With Snow and all of his bad intentions you never know how long you actually have.

I spin around in a circle, my dress spinning with me. I let out a giggle. The dress is all that I imagined and more. As a little girl I always had this image in my head about what my wedding would be. This dress meets my childhood standards.

"Any day now princess." Joanna calls out from the door.

"It's her day. She can take all the time she wants." Katniss argues with a smug grin.

I stick out my tongue teasingly at Jo.

"I'm ready anyway. If I don't go now I might not ever work up the nerve" I laugh.

"Here we go." Katniss opens up the door to my dressing room and goes ahead of me so she can walk down the isle. Haymitch is waiting at the door for me. He is walking down the isle because of a lack of parents to do it for me. I'm sad that they couldn't be here but so thankful for Haymitch to take their place.

"Ready kid?" He asks.

"As I'll ever be." I grin and tuck my arm into his.

We round the corner and the crowd all comes to their feet at my arrival. I can'y wipe the smile off my face. I just focus on the beautiful face that waits for me.

He is grinning ear to ear. I think that if Haymitch wasn't there I would've ran to him out of excitement. My eyes are already watering. Joanna put a lot of effort into my makeup and would kill me if I ruined it before the vows.

We finally reach the end of all the smiling faces. Haymitch passes me off to Finnick and I couldn't be more excited.

"Hi" I whisper.

Finnick smiles, "Hi"

"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to witness the union of this lovely couple." The pastor begins. "We will begin the vows that they have written." He gestures for Finnick to begin.

Finnick clears his throat before he starts.

"(Y/n). Where do I even begin? When I started to write these I had a hard time coming up with the words to describe the love that I have for you. I think I finally have." He smiles and looks at are hands together, "When I had to go into the games my first thought was leaving you alone. People questioned us because we were just a high school relationship but I knew that I was going to end up with you. Then, when I got home, you had to leave. Training you for the games was by far the worst thing that I've ever had to do. When you came home, I was relieved. We have outlasted all odds. We are both survivors which means something to me. When we decided to get married today I was overjoyed that you were going to become my wife to soon. I love you (Y/n)." He brushes away a stray tear.

I take a deep breath. The tears are flowing now and I can't stop them now. Finnick takes the pad of his thumb to wipe it away.

"Finnick," I start with a shaky breathe, "Our lives have been full of scary things. The horror of the games has affected us and brought us both closer. Tomorrow we leave for the games once again. This time we get to go together. But they aren't going to let us escape once again. We have some tough odds to beat. But, I know that if anyone were to, it would be us. I love you so much Finnick and I am thankful for every moment that we've spent together.

Our pastor continues with the ceremony but I focus more on Finnick's eyes on me and his hand holding mine.

My attention is pulled back in when I hear him say, "You may now kiss the bride."

I grin as Finnick pulls me in closer and our lips meet for the first time that day. The crowd stands and I can hear them clapping for us. We pull apart and I hold Finnick's hand in one hand and my bouquet in the other.

"Ready to begin our life together Mrs. Odair?" Finnick asks as we walk out the doors.

"Of course." I smile.
