I sighed and turned to face the large gate that was now closed. The noise from the crowd had died down, most of them had probably walked away by now. Though there were still some people yelling encouraging words, but I felt pretty awkward since they were technically just screaming at a gate for a minute or so.
Taurus plopped down a couple of feet from the gate into the city. Not just gently lower himself onto the ground, no he dropped himself onto the ground and laid there for a good minute before I went over to him and also plopped down and scooted next to him.
"So, what now?" I asked, still wanting to go to sleep and craving my bed at home.
"Well," he started, "we could start by heading over to Halo in the east to get some supplies, it looks like it's not too far from here."
"Hmm, what kind of stuff we need?" I said.
"Well, all sorts of stuff! Halo's one of those bustling towns where there are all kinds of merchants and traders! I heard there's even rumors of a secret black market. There are ingredients for potions, spells, everything a magician could ever want or need!" his eyes lit up in elation. I could see stars in his eyes like the Zodiac he was named after.
"What do they have for inventors then? They most have something for me if there's such a big market," I leaned in closer to him.
"I'm pretty sure they have even more for people like you! Multiple shops are open just for machine repairs and they sell rare parts to people who are willing to pay loads of money!"
My eyes lit up.
"We're going," I grabbed the map and a compass from my backpack and checked to see where east was. I grabbed Taurus's arm and we started heading to Halo.
We walked for about a minute or so until Taurus's voice pierced the silence.
"So uh, how much money do you have with you? I think my dad gave me a pouch of palladium coins."
My eyes widened, "Palladium coins? Only palladium coins? Why so cheap? I have an assortment of rhodium, gold, osmium, palladium, and indium. All of it in separate pouches!""
"No need to brag. Ahah, you see my family's pretty cheap so they expect me to use this to sparsely or earn more on my own. They just spend most of the money of ingredients for new spells and potions," he explained.
"Huh, cheap magicians, what would you expect."
We went into a moment of silence before a grumble interrupted it.
"Could we also get some food? I only ate a banana this morning," Taurus scratched the back of his head.

Short chapter, kinda a filler but the kids make up for it.
For anybody confused of how the currency system works, it's based on precious metals and their worth.
Rhodium = $0.01
Gold = $0.10
Osmium = $1.00
Palladium = $5.00
Indium = $10.00
I'll be sure to add some more!
Until next time.
