"You're awake early," Jonah comments, entering the kitchen. "What's the special occasion?"
"It's a surprise," I wink, moving around the island to fix the coffee. Turning back around, I notice a weird look on Jonah's face. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," Jonah waves my concerns off with a timid smile. "I was just thinking." I gesture for the boy to continue. "About our relationship."
"Oh," I manage to say, instantly worrying about where this was going. "What about it?"
"We've been dating for two months," he states, "and I've met your parents. We're already living together."
"Do you think we're moving too fast? Because I ca-"
"Aurora, no, it's nothing like that," Jonah reassures me, walking over to my side. "I love living with you."
Relief floods through my veins and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
"It's actually my parents that I wanted to talk about."
"Well, from what you've told me, they sound like wonderful people," I admit, smiling as my other doubts disappear.
"So, you'll meet my parents?" Jonah questions, growing more excited over our current conversation.
"Yeah, how does tomorrow sound?" I reply, not noticing Carmen appearance.
"Perfect," Jonah grins, pecking my lips as he grabs my waist, spinning me around to face Carmen. "Someone just woke up."
"CARAMEL!" I yell, jumping in my spot. "YOU'RE AWAKE!"
"I am now," Carmen chuckles, glancing at Jonah before she takes a seat at the island. "So, you're meeting the parents?"
"Yep," I confirm, staring up at Jonah.
"So, are you guys getting married?" Carmen questions casually, looking between Jonah and I.
"W-what?" I stutter, coughing as I look at Carmen with wide eyes. "Caramel, no."
"And why not?" She raises an eyebrow. "I think you two should totally get married. It may not have been that long since you met, but it's true love, isn't it? Just saying. . ."
"Well," I compose myself, blushing furiously. "So, how would you guys like to go out today?"
"Without Zach?" Jonah asks hesitantly.
"No, Heroin can come," I inform him. "I know he wouldn't let Caramel leave if he didn't get to tag along."
"Where would we be going?"
"I was thinking we should drop by a celebrity's house. . ." I trail off, stirring my coffee with a smirk. "I don't know, maybe one that I called and talked to last night. And he most certainly agreed to meeting you."
Who?" Carmen asks, trying to hide her smile.
"Sean James Teale-"
"OH MY GOSH, YOU TALKED TO CONDÈ?" Carmen screeches, moving to her feet quickly. "ZACH, GET UP! I'M GOING TO MEET A PRINCE!"
As the girl moved into the living room with a fast pace, Jonah glances down at me.
"Is he really a prince?"
"He sure as hell looks like one."
I skip by Jonah's side as we walk down a busy street, glancing behind me to see Carmen looking around excitedly as she walks beside Zach. It had been nearly an hour since I had told Carmen of my talk with Sean James Teale. And since then, Zach had been in a grouchy mood, scolding me for anything and everything.
