The Darkness

Diligitis. This was a code name used by a particular person, purely to stay hidden. She was one of the very few survivors of the order. Of course, she held a true name, but this was known by very little people. Caitlin Snow was a mystery to the world. The galaxy. No one knew her by that title, however, in fact, not many people knew her at all. She was just a rumour to most societies. She was currently on an isolated side of the planet of Eadu, far enough away from the imperial base to be noticed. Having spent the past few years hopping from planet to planet, keeping to herself only, she was in pursuit. In pursuit from the new apprentice of the Emperor. This had all started right back at the end of the Clone Wars when the fabled Order 66 was commissioned by the very same Emperor. Diligitis was sat in a cave, with nothing but a small fire flickering in front of her. Again, something she was forced to do very often, having no permanent residence. Doing this spiralled her with many memories of back when everything was still stable, before the Dark Side took over the mind of a certain individual.

--------------------------------------------

"Master Mundi, I have lost all transmissions with Master Plo, have you heard from him?" Caitlin shouted through her comms, waiting for a reply. However, she failed to get a response but still heard a good amount going on. A typical droid battle, as she saw from the limited holographic view she had of her former master fighting off an army of the droids on a bridge, the weather fairly bad, pouring with rain. Ki-Adi Mundi was leading his own faction of clones, as expected helping him with the battle. She proceeded to shout down the comms, but to no avail, he simply couldn't hear her. She turned to her nearby Clone Commander, Commander Star, and told him to try anything he could to get communication with either Mundi or Plo. She was too, with her own faction of clones, leading a mission forward on the planet of Geonosis, wiping out the remains of the Geonosion battle droid factory, sent there by Master Plo with permission from her master, Mundi. She looked back to her hologram, to see an image that she would never forget.

Mundi had temporarily stopped, looking back at his squadron to order them. However, what he appeared to see was something beyond Caitlin. Something that horrified her. His army, including his own Commander, Bacara, pointing their guns away from the battle and directly towards the Jedi. The look on his face was simply confused, not for long, however, as he pointed his lightsaber back to their direction blocking the waves after waves of laser fire from his own loyal soldiers. But it was all too much. Caitlin watched her master fall down before her, over hologram still yet the pain still hit her. He fell down to the floor, the hologram cutting off and closing in front of her. Questions flowed through her mind, as to why his own army had gone against him.

It was at this moment that she felt something. A massive disturbance. She didn't have to look up to know it, still pointing her eyes down towards the floor. Her own squadron of clones, all pointing their guns towards her.

She slowly moved her eyes up, looking directly over towards the commander.

"I'm sorry general," he stated, before signalling to the others to open fire. Being a step ahead, however, Caitlin ignited her lightsaber, the blue blade creating a soft glow in the fairly dark room they were situated in. She immediately struck her commander down, beginning to deflect the other lasers being shot her way. But there were too many. She would go down the same way as her master. As Plo presumably had. This would be the case if she had no help. Out of entirely nowhere, a plasma grenade was thrown into the middle of the clones, sending them flying as it detonated. Caitlin simply looked up, illuminating the geonosion caves she was in. Before her, she saw someone she had heard certain stories about, that man being Saw Gerrera.

--------------------------------------

She thought back to that moment. When everything collapsed. Order 66 caused all the clones to rebel against their general. The same incident that killed her master, as well as so many others, eliminating almost all of the Jedi, only a tiny handful left, and all of those now left with no choice but to go into hiding from the now ruling empire. Back at that moment, in the tunnels, Saw had told her to run, get out of here. That was the only thing she ever heard from him. The last she ever really heard from anyone in person for a good few years. If he had never been there, she would be long gone by now, like practically all of the others.

Reaching into her robe, Diligitis pulled out one of the only holocroms she had left. The message that she had discovered in the remains of the Jedi temple when she went to find survivors. It started to play, watching the message like she had every day since it all fell apart.

"This is Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. This is a message to all survivors of Order 66. Stay away from the temple, and go into hiding. The disturbance in the force has been caused by one of our own rebelling against us. We need to try our best to stay hidden from every source of the empire as possible, as we are being hunted down. Stay away, and all we can do is have hope. Perhaps one, there will be a new hope, and we will be needed once again. I repeat, stay away from the temple, and put yourself into hiding.

May the force be with you all."

She closed off the message, looking out into the sunrise just peeking out through the torrential storm present at the time. Looking up, she saw a few Imperial TIE fighters flying over, causing her to hide further into the cave.

All Diligitis was currently hoping for was a new start. Everything had collapsed, and if she was to spend the rest of her life like this, it would certainly not be worth it. She was a Jedi and had been for the majority of her life. The two other Jedi she was closest to, being Plo Koon and Ki-Adi Mundi, had been killed during the order. Mundi had trained her to be the Jedi she had become today, and Plo was the one who found her on her home planet, who found her to be force-sensitive. The least she could do was do something to help in the down bringing of the empire, to help avenge the fallen council. But for now, she was simply sat in a cave, hiding away waiting for the given moment.
