It's August! Which means International Wattpad Mermaid Month is here at last!!!! Therefore, Josie and Britt hereby proclaim the official opening of the Wattpad Under the Sea writing contest!
This chapter is the place to post your fish tales. If you already posted in the previous chapter, no problem. We will still see them.
I am repeating the rules here for your convenience:
Rules:a. Your protagonist, love interest, or antagonist can be a merperson OR your story may simply be set under the sea. Either one is mer-velous.
b. While your story can be any length, the judges will only consider the first 2,000 words in making their decisions. If your story is the beginning of a longer work, please provide a short synopsis. (It won't count in the word limit.)
c. Entries due by August 31st. Finalists announced September 7th. Winner announced on September 14th.
d. Stories can be new creations or not. They can be stories you entered last year as long as you've made substantive edits since then.
e. All entrants must be followers of Josie and Britt's.

Prepare for a whale-sized splash with our panel of superstar(fish) judges:For the first round Josie (Jos1eDemuth... oh, me!), Britt (BrittanieCharmintine) Jessica (JessicaBFry), Mikaela (MikaelaBender), our first winner, Kristin (krazydiamond), and last year's winner, Tiffany (TiffanyDaune), will chose the 6 finalists.
Then, our celebrity judge, none other than A. V. Geiger (adam_and_jane) *turns a backflip* will choose the winner!
