Hello readers, nice to meet you! Thanks for taking the time to check out my horror/urban fantasy novel, BLEEDER. I hope it entertains and unsettles you. I say that, because without you there would be no book and there would be no me. Well, that's not quite true, there'd still be me, but I wouldn't be half as happy. Life is best when one's doing what one loves. And I love writing about monsters, and sharing stories with those who enjoy reading them. BLEEDER is my first novel.
If you've ever written a novel (and some of you definitely have), you can attest to the amount of time, dedication and love that goes into penning and polishing each and every chapter. I honestly couldn't have done this without the support of a great many people. So, yes, here come more thank yous...
First and foremost, to my husband Brenton, who puts up with having an absentee wife. One who regularly locks herself away in her office at weird hours of the day to pound out the tales of imaginary people whose adventures regularly clog up her brain. (Too many ideas, never enough time!) I love you - in every dimension.
Now for the rest of the couldn't-have-done-it-without-you club:
Claire, my editor. I adore you more and more each time you kick my butt and challenge me to make this an even better book.
Jerry, my chapter artist, for agreeing to the insane weekly schedule and bringing your boundless creativity to each new installment. (Jerry's on Wattpad as @JerryThistle - if you like his art, please fan him and let him know.)
Justin, my cover artist, for continuing to slum it with me, even when the big boys are banging on your door.
Jessa, the best chainsaw cheerleader a girl could have. I miss you.
My ma- and pa-in-law, for gifting me with the software that I've used to write and edit this book, and for your constant, unwavering support of everything I do.
And last, but never least... My mom, from whom I allegedly inherited this love of writing. I wish you were here to read my stories. I miss you, and always will. Thank you for planting the first genre seeds in the garden.

If you enjoy this tale of Mills and the Nosferatu, please consider fanning me, that way you'll be notified when new chapters in the BLOOD MAGIC Saga posted and kept in the loop about other goings-on in the BLEEDERverse. LETTERS FROM NEW YORK [Blood Magic, Book 2] is now also complete; you can find it linked from my profile. RULER [Blood Magic, Book 3] will return in Late Spring 2015 (apologies about the hiatus, but I had a baby!). If you do like the story, please support it by voting on the chapters and commenting, as those are the things that help get it in front of more eyeballs.
If you have comments, suggestions, critiques and/or questions about the Blood Magic saga, I'd love to hear them. I'm definitely interested in honing and improving my writing, as well as this series. Plus, as I said in my bio, reader feedback is writer food.
Now, that's more than enough rambling. Enjoy the story...

What if everything you knew about yourself was a lie? Mildred "Mills" Millhatten had a good life: close-knit family, fantastic friends, decent grades and even a not-totally-annoying kid brother. You might say it was the best kind of ordinary. So not...
