BACKSTORY;;

─【 † 】Jimmy Sage Dean. That's his name. His real name. Jimmy was an orphan from a young age. He knows nothing about his biological parents. At the age of 7, Jimmy was adopted by what seemed like a loving couple who had a 5 year old son named Marcus Robin Dean. But that couple was the opposite of loving. The father, Patrick, was an alcoholic. Patrick was a cruel, short tempered man. Everytime one of the kids made a mistake, even if it was as little as spilling milk, they would get beat. After a while, Jimmy took the beatings for both him and his little brother. He couldn't help but become protective. Marcus was the only family he had. He loved him and didn't want him to get hurt.

The beatings only got worse over time. Sometimes Patrick would lock Jimmy in his room and starve him for days at a time. The mother, Jane, didn't seem to care what her husband did to the kids. She didn't try to help them or stop Patrick. Jimmy and Marcus never felt any love from their parents. They were treated like shit every day of their lives. They were forced to eat disgusting things that shall go unnamed. They were forced to partake in humiliating punishments. They would be called names non-stop. They called Jimmy, who was only about 9, a whore. They called him a mistake. They called him worthless. They called him dreadful. One time Jimmy got in trouble at school as his drunk bastard of a father had to come pick him up. Then, in front of the whole class, Jimmy was spanked and called a dreadful son of a bitch. After that the bullies started calling him Jimmy Dreadful. After a while the name stuck and he forgot his real last name. He was no longer Jimmy Dean.

When Marcus turned 10, he started getting really sick. At first it wasn't that bad but over time it got worse. The doctors soon said that it was cancer. Now, Mr. and Mrs. Dean didn't want to pay for treatment for a kid that they didn't even care about. A kid they didn't love. And they had no need for a kid with cancer. So they decided to get rid of Marcus the easy way. Patrick and Jane loaded their kids into the car and took them on a "road trip". They drove far from the city and then... they left Marcus on the side of the road with nothing but a worn out blanket. As they drove off, Jimmy shouted and cried for them to go back and get Marcus. All he wanted was his baby brother. But his parents didn't go back and he never saw Marcus again.

A year later Jimmy was still heartbroken about the loss of the one person he loved. He cried all the time and he didn't talk or smile. Jimmy's whole life turned gray and nothing mattered anymore. At least, until his father (who was sober for once) took him to the circus. It was a nice day. The sky was blue and everyone at the circus seemed to be smiling. Patrick bought Jimmy some popcorn and they went into the big red tent to watch the show. Everything about it fascinated him. The clowns. The sword swallower. The fire breather. The acrobats. The elephants. The lion. But what made him the happiest, was the ring leader. From that moment on Jimmy wanted to be a ring leader.

But alas, this isn't the end for poor Jimmy. After the show he asked his dad if he could go see the ring leader who had amazed and inspired him so much. Patrick nodded before leaving the tent, going to get something to drink because sadly, there was an alcohol stand at this circus. Jimmy went to speak to the ring leader with a smile on his face. The leader smiled back at the boy and they started talking, their conversation mostly revolving around the circus. Sadly, poor Jimmy didn't notice how the man kept touching him. He would grip Jimmy's shoulder then run his hands down his sides. The boy was too excited and too busy talking to notice how the ring leader was looking at him. After a while, he asked Jimmy if he wanted to see something cool and of course Jimmy said yes. The man took Jimmy to his dressing room where he sat him up on the table. He ran his hands up the boys legs and ran his tongue down the side of his face before whispering in his ear. "You're such a pretty boy." After that, well, I'm sure you can guess what happened. Jimmy screamed and cried at the top of his lungs but no one heard him or came to his rescue. He felt so violated.... so disgusting.

When his dad found him, he was drunk. Jimmy was laying on the ground outside of the tent, sobbing and shaking all over. His father, angry that the boy had been missing for so long, dragged him to the car, throwing him in the backseat. Patrick then started speeding down the highway, shouting profanities at his son. He was drunk and not paying attention and soon enough, his car collided with someone else's.

Jimmy had hit his head so hard that he fell into a coma. The coma lasted until he was 19. When he woke up, he hardly remembered anything. He remembered bits and pieces but not the whole story. He remembered the abuse but not who did it. Patrick and Jane's memories were completely deleted. He remembered Marcus but not who he was or what happened to him. Those memories were long gone. He remembered being raped but none of the details. Jimmy even forgot who he was. But one memory remained. The memory of the circus and the best day of his life.

Jimmy wanted to be part of a circus so he created his own, in which he was the ring leader. But he was out of his mind when he made this circus. The lack of memories on top of only being able to remember his trauma, made him go crazy. Jimmy was crazy but also in pain. He thought that he could get rid of how he felt by watching others suffer. He wanted people to be in pain, crying and screaming for help or for it to stop then receiving neither. Nothing except watching other people go through what he went through made him happy. Nothing except watching others suffer. So soon his genius mind combined his two favorite things and that's how the Dead Circus was born.
