Chapter 5: Forgive and Move On

I was waiting in the coffee shop I usually go to. I was meeting someone here and texting Josh while I was waiting. He was just saying that they were almost done filming and he should be home by tomorrow or the day after.

I seen Iris walk in, she looked at me and gave me a weak smile as if everything was okay. I looked down at the coffee mug in my hands. She sat down beside, staring at me in silence.

"Scarlett, I... I don't know what I can say to make things right again," Iris said.

I didn't look up at her, she sighed.

"Can you please just tell me what I have to do for you to forgive me?" she asked.

I looked up at her, plead in her eyes. "First, you apologize to Josh. Then, you go on Twitter and send a tweet saying what you said about me was a lie," I said.

She nodded, "How will I apologize to Josh? Do I wait for him to get back or do you want me to call him or tweet him or... Something?" she asked.

If she's lying, she might just be using me to meet Josh. So she won't do it in person. I could get her to call him from my phone, then she wouldn't get his number.

I dialed Josh's number and waited for him to answer.

"Hey, Scar," Josh said.

"Hey, uhhh, I have someone who wants to say something to you," I said.

"Uhh, alright. Who is it?"

Without answering him, I handed the phone to Iris. She put it to her ear.

"Josh? Yeah, it's Iris. I... I wanted to apologize for everything I've done to you."

"Yeah, Scarlett, too."

"I don't know what I was thinking but I miss being friends with Scarlett and in order to gain her trust back I had to apologize to you."

"Really? Well, I'm really sorry."

"Okay. Thanks."

She handed my phone back to me and I put it to my ear.

"I think she's a bull shitter," Josh said.

"She's really trying... I don't know what to think," I said.

"I'm just saying that I don't trust her... You shouldn't either," Josh said.

I rolled my eyes, "What makes you think you can't trust her?" I whispered quietly so Iris couldn't hear.

"Why are you trying so hard to convince yourself that she's changed?" he asked.

I bit my lip in frustration. "I have to go," I said.

"I'll talk to you later. Miss you," I said before hanging up.

I put my phone away and looked at Iris. She was on her phone. She put her phone away and sighed, "I made the tweet. The Trenchers know the truth," she said.

I grabbed my phone and checked her profile. I unblocked her and I seen the tweet.

@PrettyIris: Trenchers, I lied about @ScarWinters . She's actually a great person and I lied because I was jealous. I'm sorry @JoshRamsay and Scarlett.

I looked at Iris. "Thanks. It means a lot," I said.

She smiled weakly, "So, can we be friends again?" she asked.

"Just... Just wait a while, okay? I need to think about some things," I said.

She nodded, understanding. I smiled at her before I walked past her and walked out the coffee shop.

"How about Nobody?" I asked.

"I like Me, Myself, And I more though," James said.

"Yeah but what about Myself?" Jack asked.

We've been arguing about what to call our new song and so far nothing amazing has come up.

"Sup, bitches," Rick said as he carried in A&W.

I grabbed my burger and fries and started chomping down immediately.

"Still arguing about the song?" he asked.

I nodded as I wiped the ketchup off my face.

"What about... Forever Alone?"

The meme popped into my head, making me smile.

"I like it," I said.

"You wrote the damn song, you should name them yourself," Jack said before taking a sip of his root beer.

I shrugged, "It's hard! I'm not that creative..."

"Says the song writer," James chuckled.

I slapped his arm, "You know what I mean."

We continued to eat in silence until we were all finished.

"Oh, right. I'm throwing a party tomorrow," Jack said.

"And you're only telling us now?" James said.

"I only decided this morning!" Jack defended himself.

I smiled before throwing my garbage away, "I'm bringing people," I said.

Jack shrugged, "Yeah, whatever."

For the rest of the day we continued to work on the album.

Nothing really interesting has been happening to me. I guess that's a good thing, I'm getting sick of the drama already.
