Fallen Knowledge
Where does emotions reside,
in this flesh of mine.
Teories of medicine
and philosophy were fine.
Until my heart stepped out of line.
How can all this be in my mind,
love and hate be chemicals blind.
If this all just comes from my brain,
why do I feel all this physical pain.
You have so many perfect answers,
that make so little sense.
How can a soulless body,
cross emotion's fence.
All my castle,
with all its walls
was built on gravel
that crumbles and falls.
And in the dust now I finally see,
the world will never be as explainable as we want it to be.
