The sound of police sirens stirs me from my dreams. My eyes peel open to look up at the white ceiling above. My mind is still trying to make sense of what happened last night. If I didn't know any better, I would say Mickey and I almost kiss. But the key is, I do know better and that had to be a figment of my imagination, a dream--or more like a horrible nightmare. If there's one thing I don't do, it's kiss ass and Mickey is definitely an ass.

Allegra rolls out of bed and walks toward the sliding doors. She pulls the curtain back to peer outside and calls me over. I stumble out of bed, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes as I make my way next to her. Peeping from behind the curtain, I look outside at the street below. Five cop cars are stationed outside as the undercover police escort the men into the back of the vehicles.

I  count as they stuff the henchmen into the police cars. Surprisingly, they aren't wearing suits--most wear blazers with turtlenecks underneath and jeans. The men vary in sizes: tall and skinny, tall and muscular, short and bulky. I count twleve of them in total.

As I watch the police car doors close behind them relief washes over me. My eyes never look away as the cars speed into the far distance. "They're gone," I whisper. "They're gone," I say louder.

A large grin plays at the sides of Allegra's mouth. "Yes. Does this mean we can go home now?"

I nod. "I think so."

"Yes," yells Allegra adding a little fist pump near the end. Allegra's voice rattles a sleeping Elena who rolls over to stare at us. Crust fresh in her eyes, she squints at the natural light filling the room.

"Huh?"

"We can go home!" states Allegra bouncing over to Elena. Allegra hops onto the bed causing Elena to pop up in response to the shift in weight.

"Really?" croaks a tiny Elena.

A knock on the door causes a silence to fall onto the room. I walk to the door, peering through the peephole to see the visitor. A bright smile, belonging to none other than Castilia, greets me. Smiling, I open the door letting Castilia inside. She looks at us in disbelief. "I don't know why you guys are still in your pajamas. You're going home!"

When the words leave her mouth, everything becomes real. The running is over. It may have only lasted a couple of days but it felt like weeks. Every second seemed to last hours and for it to be over is quite a relief.

Elena, who now sits upright, smiles in excitement. "Yay. I want to see mommy and daddy."

"You'll get to see them really soon," says Castilia in small voice to match that of Elena's. She turns to me and pats me on the shoulder. "You think you all will be ready in an hour and a half?"

"Absolutely," I reply with a nod.

"Good then I'll see you all in the lobby at 12:30," Castilia states as she exits the room.

Once the door closes behind her, Elena looks up at me, a questioning look in her eyes. "Where's Mickey?"

A sigh escapes my lips unconsciously. I wish I did not have to think about Mickey right now or at all. Unfortunately, that will never be possible as long as I work with his siblings and for his parents. "Probably in his room getting ready, something you need to be doing," I say as I poke her in her belly causing her to giggle.

She agrees to get ready and heads to the bathroom to wash and dress. The process for each of us to shower and dress goes by quickly and before I realize I have packed the final items. I glance at the electric clock on the nightstand which reads 12:23 pm. Turning to Elena and Allegra, who are both sitting on the bed watching reruns of ICarly, I instruct them to put on their shoes to prepare to leave. They groan in annoyance but still comply.
