S U M M A R Y

Gifted music student Ella Volkov is depressed, breaking down under the pressure of everyone around her. She loves the flute, but her overbearing father makes her to play the harp. She tries to be "the nice girl" everyone expects her to be, but she feels anxious and sad all the time. Most of all, Ella wants to be heard for who she really is—but she feels invisible.

Then Ella finds herself alone at a party with Ren Mori, her best friend Jenny's crush, and they share an unlikely connection. Before that night, Ren was just the rude, apathetic kid at the back of the class, but now he's all Ella can think about. Because Ren is the only person who has been able to see Ella's scars and understand them. Understand her.

But if Ella dates Ren, it would be catastrophic to her friendship with Jenny. Now Ella has to decide if she will create her own path, or stay in the perfect box designed for her...
