Chapter 16 - Show Up

The news got out and it was a shocking one. People were commenting in my social media asking why did I breakup? Not just my social media but Blane's too.

They got the news not long ago but they received a breakup news not long after the dating news went out. It was crazy that everyone was currently talking about it.

My friends texted me a lot but I didn't reply any of it. I shut my phone off and concentrated in my exercise. My parents didn't expected it either so was my sister.

All of them we shock because we were doing fine. I'm tired explaining them one by one and most of asked us to date again because we're a perfect match in heaven.

I kept doing my work and ignored all the questions related to Blane. Everytime I got an interview, I didn't answer if they asked about Blane. I really avoided it.

I miss Blane so much, I really wanted to see him but remembering his words and feelings for Lauren made me throw away that urge.

I buried myself to work, work and work. I worked and then dragged myself to the gym. That's my life circle these days

I dated a couple guys but still none of them fill the criteria that I wanted. Until I'm done trying to see other guys for now

"My baby sister!" I hugged Kimberly tightly as I walked out from the airport

"I miss you" She squealed and helped me with my luggage

"You always make me visit you here not all the way around" I hissed and she smiled

"I don't want to see Ethan, you know that"

"New York is a big city Kimmy, chill will you?"

"But still, I don't want to see him"

"I'm hungry" I said to her

"Let's go eat" We got into the car and she drove into town. We stopped in front of a brunch restaurant.

"I saw your interview with Trend Magazine"

"Tell me about it"

"They asked you about Blane again huh?"

"Why are they still asking when we already broke up long time ago?" I hissed as I looked at the menu

"They're still wanting to know the reasons, besides you both didn't say a thing to them making it all mysterious"

"Still.. It was long time ago"

"So how's Marcus?" She asked and I turned to him

"Don't like him" I said and we ordered our food. We walked to the empty seat.

"Why? He's cute"

"No thanks" I said

"When will Zion come?" Kimberly asked

"Tomorrow afternoon, he'll be in time when the event take place" I answered and she nodded

"How's school?"

"Great"

"Are you seeing any guys besides Rafe?" I asked

"Nope, I can't look at other guys. Just like you" She smirked and I rolled my eyes. She chuckled and then she looked at me weirdly

"I met Blane a couple of times" She stated

"And?"

"He's asking how are you doing? You blocked his number and never answered his calls and messages" That was right

"Oh"

"Why? What if he wanted to get back?" Kimberly asked and I shook my head

"We never even start"

"What do you mean?"

"We weren't dating for real Kim, it was all for show" I said and her eyes widen. She looked at me in horror

"No way"

"Way.. We didn't even date. I happened the owe him since he saved me 3 times without even knowing my name at first"

"Are you for real? You both look so good and it looked so real"

"He's still in love with Lauren"

"Milla, don't tell me that you like him for real?" Kimberly asked in a really careful tone

"I was ready to open a new chapter but he's still waiting for Lauren"

"It's impossible for Lauren to break up with Dylan. Everyone knows that!" Kimberly stated and I nodded

"Let him be.." I chuckled

"You know, you should get a cute british guy instead!"

"I'm not interesting in dating these days, you're the one who should see Ethan, you idiot" I said and she chuckled

"I guess we both sucked at our love life huh?"

"So damn yes.." I smiled. We both finished our food and walked out. We decided to go around the UK since Kim doesn't have any class in the evening

"I want to check out that store" I pointed and Kimberly was still trying to find a book in the book store

"Go there first" She said and I nodded. I walked out from the bookstore and walked into the vintage store across the street

It was a beautiful small vintage corner. I looked around and admired all the vintage things. I found a small music box and opened it. It was still working

"How much is this?"

"50£" The owner said and I decided to buy it. I walked out from the store and so excited to share this with Kimberly since we both love music boxes

"Milla" I turned to see Kim with a plastic bag full of books

"What the hell did you buy?" I asked

"Just a couple of stuff"

"I boug-"

"Come here, I want to show you something" She pulled me away suddenly and I raised my eyebrows. She dragged me into a waffle shop

"Show me what?" I asked and she pointed. I found myself smiling when I saw a crepes menu. I love crepes

"This place has a good crepes"

"I bought a music box!" I showed her the plastic bag

"Oh okay" She answered and I pulled it out from the plastic bag showing her

"Isn't it beautiful?" I asked and opened the music box. It played a classic song right away

"Oh okay"

"Kimberly! You're not paying attention, what are you looking?" I turned to the streets and she immediately cup my face making me look at her

"Just some weird guys" I pushed her away and walked to the cashier. I ordered Stawberry Nuttella crepes. I turned to Kimberly but she's no where to be found

I ignored her and sat down first. I opened my phone and just opened my social media right away. I'm quite bored

"What took you so-" I looked up to see Blane, my eyes widen and my body froze totally

"You're wearing red again" He stated and I looked away awkwardly. I walked to take the crepes and walked out from the shop. Blane caught my hand

"Where do you think you're going?" I didn't say anything or turned to see him. I let his grip go and ran stopping a taxi. I got into the taxi and quickly told the driver to drive first

My breath got hitch and I gulped nervously. After 1 year and 7 months, he showed up again
