♠️Chapter 6 ✖Killer❌

Start from the beginning

"You can't be serious Koby."

"I am," I said, seriously.

"Right, change of plans. Let's clean up the mess then get started on you." Skyler suggests.

"Okay," I said, agreeing. "We need some cleaning supplies, to clean up his blood."

"We're out of cleaning supplies, and I'm pretty sure this would be the wrong time to go to the store," Skyler says, standing up.

"Then we use in home supplies," I say, trying to improvise. "Get some vinegar, hydroperoxide and salt water."

"On it." She says walking away. I quickly went into my bag, pulling out a syringe filled with morphine. I'm not an addict, in fact, I wasn't a fan of drugs at all. But I knew if I took the morphine out, in front of Skyler she would freak out. Even though she's been clean for a couple of years, I didn't want to risk it. I didn't want to be the reason why she relapsed.

I injected the syringe into my injured thigh and waited for it to kick in. After a few minutes of waiting for the pain in my body subsided. I took my time wrapping my thigh with some cloflex bandages. With all the strength I could muster up, I dropped to the ground facing Jason's body. I rolled his body onto the carpet, before rolling the carpet as well.

Skyler comes back into the living room with the supplies, placing them onto the ground. She places gloves on her hand, before staring.

"I'm gonna miss this carpet." She admits, cleaning up the blood.

"Me too," I said, placing the gloves in my hand, helping her. "We've had so many memories with this one carpet."

Skyler chuckled. "Now we can add this one to it."

"I'm sorry for bringing you into all of this mess," I said, sincerely.

"She'll be apples." She says, looking up at me. "You didn't bring me into this mate. I choose to be in this. You're my best friend, you've done the impossible when it's come down to me. And now I'm repaying the favor."

"You being in this can get you killed," I said, tears falling from my eyes.

"I know that." She says taking off her gloves. "And I'm completely okay with that. Shit, we all have to die one day."

"I don't want you to die, I don't want you to get hurt because of me Skyler," I confessed. Skyler wipes off the tears in my eyes.

"I won't die mate." She promises. "Well I will, I mean eventually we both will but it'll be when we're both in nursing homes asking each other who farted."

I laugh at her joke.

"Do you remember the day we met?" She questions.

"Of course I do," I said smiling. "It was March 22, 2014. You were at the park shooting up, but then had a Seizure."

Skyler smiles. "Correct and even though you had no clue who I was, you stayed in the hospital with me that whole night." She says, finishing the story. "You even helped me get clean." She adds.

"I'm so glad that you're my best friend," I said, finishing cleaning up the blood.

"Me too mate," Skyler says. "Now let's get this body out of here."

🌌

After we got done cleaning up the blood, we somehow managed to put Jason's body in the back of Skyler's car. I made sure to get rid of all the evidence of Jason ever being at the apartment.

Now, me and Skyler were in the process of trying to get him out of the trunk.

"He is so damn heavy," I exclaimed. Dragging the carpet with Jason's body inside. The fact that we chained bricks onto the carpet only made it more of a struggle.

"I know mate," Skyler says, struggling as well. "We're Click away." She says. I rolled my eyes.

"You do know that I don't understand your Australian slangs right?"

"Whatever just keep dragging."

We stopped moving once we made it to the dock of the lake.

"Lift him up on 3," I said. Are grip on the carpet tightened as we prepared ourselves.

"1.....2.....3" Skyler counts. We lifted the carpet up and threw it in the water. Together me and Skyler both watch as the carpet sinks to the bottom of the lake.

"Let's get out of here," I say to Skyler. We walked back to the car in a comfortable silence.

"Was Jason the worst of them?" Skyler asks, driving off.

"No," I said truthfully. "Ford is."

🌌

Sweat fell from my face as I tried to brace myself.

'You can do this Koby.'

"Come on Koby, you're the one that suggested this," Skyler says, playing with the blowtorch. My hands were handcuffed to the nightstand, and my breathing was erratic.

"I know but it looks like it's going to hurt," I said, looking directly at the blowtorch. I took one deep breath before saying, "Do it."

Skyler walked towards me, putting a piece of cloth in my mouth for me to bite down on. She turned on the blowtorch and placed the flames on my wound.

The last thing I remembered was screaming in pain and smelling burnt skin.
