"You know, you don't have to ring my door bell when you come over. I gave you a key for a reason." You said, raising your eyebrow at your best friend.

"I forgot it!" He says.

"You know where the spare is!" You scold.

He waves you off.

You shake your head, moving aside to let him in.

"So," you ask, following him into your kitchen.

He was quite comfortable in your house.

The two of you had known each other since you were little kids.

He turned to you with a raised eyebrow as he opened a soda from your fridge.

"Its 10 am, Munk." You said.

"Never too early for soda." He said, taking a sip.

"You're right," you said, "anyway, what do you wanna do today?" You ask him.

He shrugged, walking backwards into your living room.

"What do you want to do?" He asked.

You shrugged.

"Let's go out."

He choked on his soda.

"Jesus, are you okay?!" You said in between laughs as you pat his back.

"Yeah, I'm, I'm fine." He said, heaving in air.

"How did you do that?" You asked, still trying to suppress some giggles.

"Uh-" he paused. "You meant go outside, right?" He asked.

"Yes, why? What did you mean?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I-uh... I was gonna suggest we go out." He said.

"Okay so we had the same idea and you choked? I'd think we were close enough to have similar ideas." You said, laughing lightly.

"No, I mean..." He paused, putting the soda down.

"I mean go out." He said.

You raised an eyebrow, still not quite understanding him.

"Go out." He said again.

"Oh!" You exclaimed, a blush rising to your cheeks.

"Smooth." You covered your face.

"If you don't want to, that's fine. You're just my best friend and I kind of thought maybe we could be more than-"

You cut off his rambling with a kiss to his lips.

It caught him off guard, and hell, you even caught yourself off guard with the serge of confidence.

But, you and Munky were always able to be very natural around one another, so maybe it wasn't as much of a big deal as it was always made to be, and maybe you wanted to go out with your best friend, and maybe you liked kissing him and maybe you wanted to do it again and maybe you were in love with him.

And maybe he was in love with you.

And maybe that was alright.

Well, it was certainly alright.

And the two of you knew it to be true, as of this very moment.

It was one of the best discoveries you had ever made together.

And one of the best that you'd ever make again.
