"On your knees, mankind."

Everyone immediately lowers, shaky and confused but obediently none-the-less. The Master grits his teeth, and if you looked close enough you would see desperation beginning to form. His whole plan had failed in less than a minute. Kayla would feel pity if it wasn't for the fact he had planned world domination. Instead, she felt worry. The Doctor isn't going to hold up like this against a fight or weapon and The Master is completely vulnerable. What does he have? Kayla bit her lip roughly. He had only just come back to them... Now is not the time for him to die again.

"No, that's fine, that's good, because you said salvation. I still saved you. Don't forget that." The Master was feeling demoralised at this point, his grin wavering every now and then. These were his own people he was up against after all. A single Time Lord against the whole race. The Lord President either appeared to have not heard him or chose not to, as he reached his arm to the sky. "The approach begins." He rasps out darkly.

"Approach of what?" The Master plainly shown his confusion now, and The Doctor turned to look at him with slight disbelief. "Something is returning. Don't you ever listen? That was the prophecy. Not someone, something." The Doctor spelled it out for him, but still The Master didn't follow, "What is it?". "They're not just bringing back the species. It's Gallifrey. Right here, right now." The Doctor grit his teeth as the whole weight of the situation began to rest on The Master. His eyes flew open in shock, flicking his eyes toward the Lords.

A thunderous noise broke out, the whole room and presumably the world shaking madly. Kayla tried with all her might to imagine where this whole conversation was heading, but found herself lost astray each time. These Lords have proven they are stronger. At this stage giving up would be a worthwhile option, but if being with The Doctor taught her anything, it's that wits are, metaphorically, stronger than brawn... Sometimes.

Glass that hadn't already been broken in the room crashed to the ground, causing the occupants inside to cry out and run for the exit. The sheer unsteadiness of the ground made it so that The Master began to kneel. "But, I did this! I get the credit! I'm on your side!" The Master demanded answers, and yet the Lord President remained silent, smirk forever present. The sight sent shivers down Kayla's spine. To her amazement, she noticed Wilfred jog into the room, all the while calling her and Doctor's names.

He abruptly stopped at seeing all of us, and assessed the situation for a second. In a glass box to the right of him a man pleaded and cried out for help, banging on the glass walls. Wilfred, without hesitation, came over to him and followed the man's instructions to place himself in the other glass container, flipping a switch so that the other man was now free to leave. "Wilf, don't-" The Doctor tried to say, but Wilfred had already placed himself inside.

"But this is fantastic, isn't it? The Time Lords restored." The Master rose once more, glancing between everyone slowly. "You weren't there in the final days of the War. You never saw what was born. But if the Timelock's broken, then everything's coming through. Not just the Daleks, but the Skaro Degradations, the Horde of Travesties, the Nightmare Child, the Could-have-been King with his army of Meanwhiles and Never-weres. The War turned into hell. And that's what you've opened, right above the Earth. Hell is descending." The Doctor was trying to reason with him.

"My kind of world." The Master grinned, but was caught off. "Just listen! Because even the Time Lords can't survive that." The Doctor shouted, his frustration peaking. Kayla absentmindedly rubbed her brow, removing a small shard of glass that had cut in. It would surely leave a scar, and would've been worse if she had left it in any longer. "We will initiate the Final Sanction. The end of time will come at my hand. The rupture will continue until it rips the Time Vortex apart." The gritty voice of The Lord President rose above The Doctor's. The Master frowned deeply at this statement, as did Kayla. "That's suicide." The Master voiced her thoughts exactly, and a foreign emotion began to bubble up inside her. "We will ascend to become creatures of consciousness alone. Free of these bodies, free of time, and cause and effect, while creation itself ceases to be."
