-Author's Note- Hi crumpets! I missed youuuu! The show was awesome. @Ashbdays5 was playing the lead, and she did amazing...I messed up a coupla times, but nobody really noticed. Her understudy though...haha. She managed to break this knife we were using as a prop. She dropped it and it exploded. I couldn't stop laughing.

Chapter Twelve:

Someone knocked on the door. Ugh. What time is it? I rubbed my eyes. Everyone else was sitting on the couch watching a movie.

"Is anyone gonna get the door?" I grumbled.

"It's alive!" Lou called jokingly.

Zayn hopped up from the couch. "I'll get it! It's probably Maria."

"Maria from Nandos?"

Liam nodded. "Maria from Nandos."

"He invited her over here?"

"Yeah. They've been texting since the second we left Nandos." Harry explained.

"Ooh sounds serious." I smirked. Zayn opened the door. "Hey Maria." He smiled.

"Hi Zayn. Hi everyone." She looked genuinely happy to see him.

"Hi Maria. Um sorry you have to see me with my hair like this." I picked up a messy blonde ringlet.

She laughed. "Nah, it's fine. My hair is at least ten times worse in the morning."

"Not that it's the morning or anything..." Maddy mused.

Cath checked her watch. "Mia, it's like 2:30."

"Oh crap..." I rubbed my temples. "I have to meet my mom at Starbucks in like five minutes."

"Why?" Niall asked.

"We need to pick a venue for the wedding. I can't be late. Mom's already pissed that I bought a dress without her...she's gonna kill me if I'm late for the meeting with the wedding planner."

Cath furrowed her brow. "I thought I was gonna plan the wedding."

"Violette is my mom's best friend..." I sighed. "You don't know my mom, Cath. She's quite...controlling."

"Mia's mom tried to force Mia into being exactly like her sister." Mads agreed.

"Never underestimate the power of Vera Blake." Liam shuddered.

"I'll take your word for it. See ya later, Mi."

I sprinted into Starbucks as fast as I could, but I still ended up being late. Mom glared at me when I came in.

"Mia you're late. You're becoming more and more of a disappointment to me. Lorraine wasn't late for her planning meeting." Then she turned to Violette. "You'll have to excuse her, Vi. Mia was never good at following directions. I doubt that she'll be able to walk down the aisle without screwing something up."

My jaw dropped. What happened to 'Hello Mia, it's so nice to see you. How are things with Liam?' Then again, this is my mother we're talking about...

Violette nodded understandingly. "Okay, let's talk about themes. Vera?"

"Well, Lorraine's wedding was beautiful...I think we should do something like that."

I rolled my eyes and sipped my latte. She was always comparing me to my older sister Lorraine, who was virtually perfect the way she saw it. Rain could do no wrong, whereas almost EVERYTHING I did was wrong.
