FUCK YEAH, I GOT MY LAPTOP BACK WHICH MEANS EASIER ACCESS TO UPDATES! I apologize if this chapter is a bit lack luster, I was admittedly running off no sleep and gummy cherries and watching Game Of Thrones at the same time.

Chapter six:
-----------------

I slowly walk through the entry way to the dining room. Seeing Ms.Hyuna and Mr.Ravi sitting across from each other at the heads of the table, I adjust my grip on Hwasa's frail little body and walk to our seats.

Setting her down in the seat next to mine that has a few pillows to adjust her height, I take my place next to her.

"Hoseok! How lovely for you to join us!" Hyuna jolts up with enthusiasm while seeing us enter. I pretend to notice how she completely disregarded Hwasa's entrance.

"Hello Ms. Hyuna, Mr. Ravi. I hope you both slept well." I promptly answer as Hyuna snorts at me, "no need to be polite! We're all friends here." I relax in my seat, slouching a bit at those words. Realizing that I could possibly be setting a bad example for Hwasa, I still just a bit straighter with a sour look on my face.

I may not be the most poised 15-year-old, but I will surely try the most for those precious to me.

And Hwasa is climbing up that list. (like my bias list)

shaking my head and coming back to reality, I pick up my head only to notice the many different tools and forks and knives that are on each side of my plate. Lifting my head up from said plate, I see Mr. Ravi and Ms. Hyuna were eating just fine with no problems. Turning over to my left side where Hwasa is sat, I see that she's having just as much trouble with the utensils as me.

I look back and forth between Ravi and Hyuna with Hwasa doing the same. Looking back at Hwasa, I shrug. She gives me the shifty eye in the direction of Ravi, seemingly trying to tell me to talk to them about our... problem. I roll my eyes in her direction, Hwasa just sticks her tongue out in response.

"Kids?"

I'm easily startled. coughing to get the loose spit that will now be lodged in my esophagus for the next five minutes. After promptly getting the nuisance out of the way, I face Hyuna with a broken smile on my face, "Y-yes?"

Shit. my voice cracked, fucking puberty.

Clearing my throat after being laughed at by everyone in the room, Hyuna continues on with her previous question, "Well," she starts with a remaining laugh, but suddenly starts being more serious,

"How do you think you're going to survive?"

The question throws me off guard slightly. I look over to Hwasa, easily spotting the quick terror that spreads on her delicate features. I grab onto her hand under the table, giving it a slight squeeze as she continues to stare at the empty plate with massive amounts of dread. Slowly returning the squeeze onto my hand, Hwasa looks up again.

As I start to open my mouth to reply, Hwasa quickly shuts me down and starts on her own.

"We're going to try out best to use the original skill sets that we have. Hoseokie is good with his hands and can make just about anything that comes to his head, and he's good with double blades because he used to be a teacher of basic self-defense to the younger girls."

I look over to Hwasa, very surprised that she'd noticed these things. I don't remember meeting her at all in 12, but she must have a reason for knowing. She continues shortly after my thoughts drift back, "I'm fast because I'm so small, and I know my way around rocky terrain and multiple other passes of land. I spent a lot of my life being lost in multiple different parts outside and inside of 12."

Hwasa swiftly looks down as if she's done something wrong. I just smile lightly while reaching my hand up to smooth down her bedhead. Turning back to the conversation at hand, I look more with pride towards the others, who also seem quite impressed with our abilities so far.

"There you have it, Wasa has it solved for the most part. Is there any information we need to know to get our chances up?"

Ravi immediately starts to speak, seeming to be full of energy this morning.

"Alright, I have a few friends who work as sponsors and also council men. You two are very worthy and deserving kids. I know that you can easily make friends who will be able to help you later on in the competition." He sighs once more and lowers his eyes a bit to take in my frame. "Hoseok, you've got a lot of luck on your side already, you've already got some admirers."

I'm immediately confused. Nobody has seen me yet, how could know me? Ravi seems to notice my confusion from my silence. "When you were chosen," Both me and Wasa flinch,

"People took notice of how young you were, yet how glad you were that it wasn't the little girl who was with you. They admired how, despite how young you were, they still thought that you would put in a valiant effort from how bravely you went up there to accept."

Wow, people find terror admirable?

Although I'm a little relieved to have more luck on my side, I'm still worried about Wasa, it didn't seem like anyone knew her yet. She didn't have any special entrances or openings to the public. I shove my head into my hands, trying to absorb all of the information, speaking quickly after, "Will Hwasa be fine? Does she have any sponsors yet?" Ravi thinks for a second before speaking,

"What about we make an impact with your entrance?"

I bring my head up with my hands on either side of my neck, "You mean the parade, right?" Ravi nods once again at my assumption.

"We just have to make sure she shows up with a bang." Ravi gives a wide grin while I pick Hwasa back up from her chair, Gleefully giving her a bear hug. Gently lifting her higher, I whisper into her ear,

"You will be fine, and I will make sure of it. You will not die on my watch."
