(Connor's POV)

I felt the intense heat of hell on my skin. I examined the rocky environment that surrounded me. This seemed to start just like any other hell dream except I was all alone.

There were no demons, Satan himself was nowhere to be found. I wasn't being tortured or anything. Nothing happened until I heard a familiar voice call my name.

I saw Kevin not far away and ran towards him. As soon as I started to run demons appeared and began surrounding Kevin. By the time I got to him the wall of demons surrounding him was to thick and I couldn't get through them.

Kevin continued to call my name but no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't get to him. Part of me knew it was a dream but it all felt so real. Hearing his calls get more and more strained, that felt real. The feeling of hopelessness as I collapsed on the rocky ground, that felt real. And my feelings for him.. I know that's real. And there's no amount of 'turning it off' that can change that.

(Kevin's POV)

"Connor!" I woke with a start, almost falling off of my bed.

I tried to slow my quick, shaky breathing to calm myself down. My eyes darted over to Arnold's bed where luckily he was still fast asleep. I didn't want to explain to him that I was having hell dreams. I've managed to hide them so far but they've been getting progressively worse each night.

Even though I've been having some doubts about my religious beliefs, I can't just forget everything I've been raised to believe my entire life. Deep down I'm still a Mormon so I still get hell dreams.

I glanced at the clock on my bedside table. It was only four in the morning and it would be hours until the other Elders would wake up. The last thing I want to do right now is go back to sleep and have another hell dream so I just quietly left my room and headed to the kitchen.

We didn't have any coffee in the mission hut so I had to settle for a pack of red velvet PopTarts from the stack Elder PopTarts had left on the kitchen counter. I don't really know what 'red velvet' is but regardless of that, it was actually pretty good.

I heard a door open and practically jumped off of the sofa, "Elder McKinley?" I wasn't quite used to calling him 'Connor' yet.

"Yeah, what are you doing up so early?" He asked, sitting on the opposite side of the sofa.

"I should ask you the same thing," I said, trying desperately to avoid telling him the truth.

"I'm up early a lot because of my hell dreams. Sometimes they wake me up early and other times they never seem to end and I'm out the whole day," Connor explained, "So why are you up?"

"I.. couldn't.. sleep."

"Really? That's the story you're going with? You can talk to me you know. What happened?"

I sighed, "I had a hell dream," I paused, "I've been having them since I got here and they get worse and worse each night and it hasn't even been happening for that long but I don't know what to do," I found myself rambling and talking way to fast.

Elder McKinley quickly moved closer to me and pulled me into a hug. It caught me by surprise but it was still so comforting to just have someone there. To have him there.

"It's okay Elder Price. I understand. I- I'm here for you."
