Listening to Evil

I slammed the door as I waltzed out the house. I left my mom in the house on the floor and I really only have one place to go. Lilian Luthor.

She said if I needed anything I could call her. So I pulled out the crumpled business card and I called the number on it. Immediately, someone over the phone says "I've been expecting you..". They gave me an address, so I started heading to the place.

I ran over to the house phone and I called Mon-El telling him to come home immediately. Once he arrived, I told him the situation, and he is just as confused as I am.

"She stormed out the house with her phone and I just don't know what to do!" I say sadly. Mon-El then pulls me into a hug and kisses my forehead.

"It'll be okay. Let's just call her, we'll see where she is and we'll talk from there." He says in a comforting voice.

"But that's just it! She's not answering any of my phone calls, or texts!"

I start to panic but Mon-El quickly calms me down.

"Look let's just calm down, when did she start acting like this?" He asks me. "I don't know, she started acting strange when.."

"She came back from hanging with Chrysanthe..." Once I realized, I bolted out the door, and I headed towards Lena's house.

I arrived at the location, it's an abandoned warehouse. I was standing in the middle of it when I started to hear footsteps coming from down the hall.

I turn around to see Lilian walking towards me with a smug look on her face.

"You feel it don't you, the anger, the hate." She immediately says.

It's like she read my mind.

"Yes! It feels almost-" "-Good?" She interrupts. I start nodding. "It does feel good to get revenge on our enemies and those who've wronged us, doesn't it?"

I gave her a strange look.

"You have this burning feeling in the back of your mind, you want revenge. You keep ignoring it, but it's only corrupting you."

How does she know about this...

"Instead you should embrace it, get back at those who have wronged you. And I can help you.."

"How?!" I shot. "By killing them..."

Once I got to Lena's house I rang the doorbell. Lena opened the door, and told me Chrysanthe is in her room with her friends. So I made my way up there.

Before opening the door, I knocked on it, and Rain opened the door...

Inside I saw Chrysanthe crying in a corner, while Sophia was trying to comfort her. Rain walks back over and I slowly entered the room.

I have a bad feeling Mia had something to do with this...

I ask Rain what happened and she lead me back into the hallway. "Mia pretty much insulted Chrysanthe about her dad, and her troubled family.." Rain says sadly.

I know Mia has been acting up, but I never thought she would say something like that. She knows how sensitive Chrysanthe is about her father and his death.

I made my way back into the room and crouched by Chrysanthe.

"Hey Chrysanthe, I am truly sorry for what Mia said to you, and she won't get away with it. On that note, I have a quick question.. Where did you guys go yesterday?" I ask her.

"W-Well we went to my gran-grandma's house. She went with me because I-I was to scared to go al-alone. I left Mia with her for a few minutes to get something, and when I g-got back I saw Mia touching this red crystal my grandma had out. She then tells us to get out, and that's when Mia had to go home.." Chrysanthe says while stuttering.

I thanked her for the information, and then I flew off towards the DEO.

Alex greets me, as we walked farther inside. She sees the worried look on my face and asks me what's wrong. I told her everything I knew and soon she had the same expression I had.

"Kara, I think Mia's been exposed to red Kryptonite.." Alex exclaims. "But how did Lilian even get Red K?" Once I asked that question we both knew exactly how.

"Max!" I yelled from the balcony of his office. He comes outside, with a drink at hand.

"Supergirl! Suprise seeing you here.." He states. "Cut the crap Max. What did you do with Red K once I was exposed?" I yelled. Max sighs. "-And don't say you got rid of it, because we both know that's a lie!" I add.

"Look, some lady came around and gave me money to have it. Of course I said no at first, but then she got a warrant from the President. So I had to give it up.. But still got paid, if you want some of the money we-" I rolled my eyes then started to fly away.

I went back to the DEO and told Alex everything. She was really mad, but there's nothing we can do. She says she found the antidote in storage and now all I have to do is actually find Mia.

I flew back home, and I found Mon-El lying on the couch. I told him everything I learned recently. "-Now we just need to know where she is.."

"Don't we have a tracker on her phone?" "Yes!" I realize. But before we could turn it on, the door was flung open. Mia walked in, looking very angry.

She has a green knife in her hand, and there are red cracks on her face. She walks up to us slowly, each step she takes I slowly got weaker and weaker.

"Mia, what are you doing?!" Mon-El yells. She doesn't say anything, she just gets closer.

Mon-El charges at her because she refuses to stand down. She easily dodges him, and next thing I know, she's pulling my hair, and there's a knife on my throat.

From behind, Mon-El pulls her off of me, and she stabs him in the stomach with a lead knife. Making him collapse to the ground. I started to feel tears rolling down my cheeks.

She looks at me dead in the eye, watching me cry on the floor. She started making her way back over to me, but halted mid step.

There is a large red beam getting shot at her back, by Alex! Mia falls to her knees, then passes out. Red gas comes out of her body, and disperses into the air.

"That was the gun we used to cure you from the Red Kryptonite. She'll be fine, she'll just get out for a few days." Alex explains.

I looked at Mon-El to see him passed out on the floor. There's a lead knife sticking out of his lower torso and blood is seeping out of his shirt. I started crying even more. as I slowly crawled my way towards him.

I heard Alex call a med team, but it didn't really sink in. All I could do is stare at Mon-El with tears in my eyes, watching his life slowly fade away.
