It was another day in Luke's diner. Coffee was being made, Kirk was being weird, Luke was his normal grumpy self and Jess was bored. He was bored until she came in and a smile was on his face.

"Hey Zoe, couldn't stay away?"
"You know me so well. Can I have a -"
"Muffin, and I'm guessing three coffee's for you, your sister and your mom." Jess predicted.
"How did you know?" The small Gilmore girl asked
"It's what you always order." The boy said with a shrug like it was no big thing
"You've been watching me?" Zoe teased
"Shut up"
"You're not denying it."
"Luke made me memorise all the customers usual orders" Jess lied not wanting to be caught
"Really? What's Kirks usual order?" The young girl asked suspiciously
"Kirk doesn't have a usual, well he does but it depends on what job he's working"
"Is my order ready yet?"
"Right here" he passed it to her, their hands accidentally touching and lingering for what she thought was a second too long and he thought was a second too short.
