April 10, 1956

Jackie sat on her husband's lap as he flicked through the biography of Harry Truman once more.

"You know we should start thinking of baby names now that we know the gender." Jackie said offhandly.

Jack shrugged,"We didn't plan last time."

"Yes but what if we name her there but then have a better name and can't change it?" Jackie asked.

Jack sighed and closed the book,"Well, personally I've actually thought of a few names for boys and girls since I learned you were pregnant..." he admitted.

Jackie laughed,"Of course you have, let's hear them."

"Well I was thinking Kerry, if she has brown hair..."

"If she doesn't have brown hair I'll be severely shocked." Jackie said.

"Fair point." Jack laughed.

"I don't know though." Jackie said,"For some reason I don't think it fits her."

Jack nodded,"I felt the same way... do you have any ideas?"

"Well, I was thinking maybe I could name her after my sister."
"Lee?" Jack asked.

"No, Caroline." Jackie replied.

"Oh." Jack said.

"I was thinking of naming her after Kick..."

"Kathleen?" Jackie asked.

Jack nodded.

"I've always liked that name, even before I met you. It sounds wonderful but let's keep thinking." Jackie said.

Jack nodded,"How about Marilyn?"

Jackie frowned,"I hate that name."
Jack nodded.

"Spencer?" Jackie asked.

"Sounds too smart." Jack said.

"Erin?" Jackie asked.

"I like it but I'm not sure." Jack said.

And the rest of the day was spent picking names.
