Episode 1: The Dangers in Destiny

On the day my life changes forever, I wake up to the sound of my doorbell ringing. The sounds of its rings echoes upstairs to my room. I get up from my hammock a little annoyed but, since my brother Raichu went out to do errands I had to go open the door myself.

I slide down the stair rails and get to the door. When I open it, I see a red and white penguin in front of me, wheezing up a storm like he just flew a mile.

"Letter to a Pikachu," he wheezes out. I take the letter, he's sweating a lot. "Sorry," he apologizes, "I come from Iceshard Mountain, it feels so hot here."

I tell him to wait there, then I go back inside to grab a popsicle from the freezer. I come back to the door and give it to him.

"Thank you kind sir, have a nice day," and with that he flies away.

I walk back inside and look at the letter with curiosity. I wonder who sent it; I never get letters, I don't have any friends who would send me a letter, and I never did anything to win something.

I decide to stop thinking about it and just open the thing. When I do, a long scroll of paper rolls out of it onto the floor.

Well, I think, I didn't have anything else to do today. I start reading.

"Hello you don't know who I am but, I don't have time to explain. I needed to possessed this Pokémon's body to write this letter and for such an old geezer he actually puts up a fight. Let me just hurry up and tell you what you have to do. Come to Wonder Town it's located north of the town you live in. Look for me in a busted up old shack. Please hurry, I need to tell you something ... something that will change your life forevr-. (At this point the letter has huge straight line written across it until more words are written.) Huh? What is this? Why am I writing this letter and who am I writing it to? I don't have no one in my life who I would even talk to ever since my wife left me. You see-"

I decide to read the letter later since it was taking forever to get through but, this Pokémon who wrote to me ... could this letter be real? Well, there's only one way to find out.

I go upstairs and start packing up my stuff, there isn't really much to take though. Just a poster of my favorite pokéball team "Thunder Strikers", a picture of my mom and dad, different types of berries that will help with certain ailments I might come across, and my toothbrush.

Of course, I'm not just doing this for the guy in the letter. You see ever since my parents died, my brother has been very protective of me. He barely lets me go anywhere, even in our own town! If I go on this trip I could see more than I ever could in Daisy Town.

Now all I have to do is convince Raichu to let me go. That's when I heard the door open.

Speak of the Giratina, I think.

I run downstairs to find Raichu putting stuff in the refrigerator.

"Hey Chu. Want to help me with these?"

Chu is the nickname he gave me when I was 3 years old and he still calls me it even though I'm 12 now. But I say, "Sure." just to get him on his good side.

As we put an assortment of fruits, berries, and vegetables in the fridge he points at my bag and says, "What's with the bag."

"Oh, I was actually meaning to tell you about that. You see I got this letter," I give him the letter, "and this guy who wrote it told me to go to Wonder Town. So ... I was wondering if I can go?"

He stares at the letter for a long time then he looks at me and asks, "You're kidding me right?"

Oh boy, I think.
