Kayla had even went out of her way to buy Dana a personalized vanilla crème sheet cake; written in pink icing was: Welcome Baby Girl!, and to top it off with a little pink baby made completely of icing in the middle.

The baby didn't even make it through the night without ending up in Dana's mouth. Half the cake was gone, all to her doing.

She was eating twice as much as she did when she first found out about her pregnancy. Nothing was safe if she could get her hands on it.

Somewhere along the conversation, the girls began to talk baby names. Lately that was all she thought about; sadly neither she nor Dino could seem to agree on anything.

He wanted it his way, as did she, but at the end of the day the decision was hers. Dino had no say so, just that the baby would have his last name.

Dana was going to see to it, that he be there to sign the birth certificate. It didn't occur to her nor did it matter that Dino's career had skyrocketed, and he was indeed a busy man, just as long as he was present for her daughter's birth.

Although she was so sure Luke would somehow try to get into the middle of that. It was like he didn't care for their happiness, and she just couldn't seem to figure out why.

***

It was two thirty in the a.m. The house was dead silent, all of the girls were sound asleep. Shanteah and Terrika shared the guest room's bed, whereas Dana slept close to Kayla.

All night, she tossed and turned. Sleep never came easy nowadays, but tonight of all nights, she just couldn't seem to find her peace.

Throwing the comforter from her dampened body, Dana exited the bed en route to the restroom for what seemed like the millionth time.

Her body ached all over, her feet swelled, the A/C blew from Kayla's room all the way to Mexico and yet Dana felt as if she were close to hell.

Just as she reached the toilet, her eyes still closed, she pulled down her panties and instant water came rushing down her legs like Niagara Falls.

Her eyes were wide open, but her brain hadn't quite caught up with her yet. She reached for the tissue to wipe herself off; the green slime sticking to the tissue, caused her to wake up immediately.

The aching pain in her back intensified, followed by a slight pressure in her lower stomach. Something wasn't right, she could tell.

Dana could barely keep her balance, as she made her way back to Kayla's room for help. She didn't bother to try and turn the bedroom light on, she couldn't even find it.

It seemed as if the closer she got to Kayla's bed, the more pain she felt. The pain was so unbearable, it nearly brought Dana to her knees.

Dana was so naive, it never even occurred to her that she could be in labor. A couple days prior to this, she'd experienced these same kind of pains. Carolyn rushed her to the hospital only to find that it was just a false alarm.

The doctor informed her that this was normal and that it happened a lot around this time. That and actual labor pains were completely different, and she was definitely going to be able to tell the difference.

Dana however, wasn't willing to wait around and find out. The pain hadn't gone away at all, in fact it only got worse.

She held the bottom of her stomach with one hand, while gripping Kayla's bedpost with the other, in order to keep her balance.

Her eyes welled up with tears, but she tried her best to remain calm by breathing in through her nose and out through her mouth.

"Kayla?"
