Aria's POV

I decided to get to school earlier to avoid Grayson. I'm gonna have to see him during bio but it's just school talk, for the most part. KJ's gonna be picking me up so that Grayson doesn't for the next few days, however long it takes me to process all of this and get it together. I'm just gonna try to do anything and everything possible to stay away from him. As immature as it may seem.

As I walked away from my locker, I heard Ethan and Grayson having a conversation. The temptation to turn around was real, but I managed to fight it.

Ethan decided to sit in the desk next to me today.

"Is everything okay?" He asked.

"Are you sure?"

"Just going through some things right now." I shrugged.

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

"No thank you. But I'll be sure to come to you know if I need to."

"Does it concern or include Grayson? I feel like he did something. Because I know you wouldn't just walk away from me like that... would you?"

"Just trust issues. Like don't get me wrong I trust you, it may not seem like it, but I do. Something happened during tutoring and–"

He leaned in and whispered to me, "are you that girl people are talking about?"

I gave him an apologetic look.

"Everything just happened so fast. I don't know what it was." I looked down.

"It's okay. You're one of my friends and I'm not gonna judge you for that, not real hard at least." the bell rang, "we can talk about this again later if you want."

"I'd rather just dismiss this whole situation."

Grayson's POV

I walked into bio and saw Aria already sitting there, on her phone. So I decided to text her. She sat up straight and locked her phone.

Me: how much time do you need?

She looked at her phone again.

Aria is typing...
Class is about to start

She stuffed her phone in her bag.

School ended and I didn't see her walking. I saw KJ pull into their driveway and realized that he was the one who picked her up. Then I put all the pieces together, very slowly, she's avoiding me.

"I know about you two." Ethan said as I walked into the house.

"How do you–"

"She was being weird today and she said 'things' happened during tutoring and I put all the pieces together. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."

"Obviously not." I rolled my eyes. "I don't know what to do. I don't know how much time to give her. I don't even know how people found out I'm talking to her, or at least talking to someone or 'fucking' someone new."

"She'll come around, eventually." he pat my shoulders, "in the meantime, if you need help with bio, ask me."

"If she tells you anything about this situation, will you tell me?"

"I'm not gonna make any promises to you. If she doesn't want me to tell you, then I'm not gonna tell you. I'm not gonna betray her like that."

She wasn't in class the following day, so I was concerned. I tried not to freak out but I'm just scared that something happened to her. I've come to care for her so much I don't want anything bad happening to her.

"Have you heard from Aria?" I asked Rosalie.

"Why do you need to know?"

"Asking for Cameron. She wanted to hang out with her soon. Catch up." I lied.

"Something seems fishy... but no. She's taking a sick day. She doesn't sound sick but maybe it's a lie to stay home. Schmood."

"Oh. Okay. Thanks."

"Why didn't Cameron tell Ethan to ask instead of having you come ask me?"

"Does it matter?"

She glared at me, "I'm going to my next class now."

I decided that once school ended, I was gonna drive over to her house and talk to her.

I did pretty well on my bio test so I thought I'd personally go over there and share with her. Because I know she's not gonna answer her phone. Especially because we're not on talking terms right now.
