Chapter Six

Kian’s POV

I got off the bus after receiving a weird look from the taxi driver – I missed the bus – and walked down Eva Boulevard, looking for number sixty-nine. I saw Anthon’s card in the window and smiled, then walked in through the door. There was a good-looking man at the desk, probably in his mid-twenties, who looked up from his book and smiled at me.

“Hey,” he said. “Are you Kian?” I nodded. “I’ll show you straight through, sweetie. I’ll just finish this chapter and then take your contact details, okay?” I nodded, smiling.

“What’re you reading?” I asked. He looked at me again and smiled.

Forbidden. It’s about this brother and sister who fall in love. It’s the sweetest thing.” I nodded and he went back to finished the chapter. Then he gasped at the ending of it, and put in a bookmark. He put the book down and then turned to me, opening up a laptop. “So You’re here to work for Anthon?” He checked.

“I think so. Though, I don’t actually know what line of work this is, exactly.” The man’s eyes widened.

“Uh... He didn’t tell you?” I shook my head. “Hm. He should’ve. Well, I don’t want you to have any nasty surprises when you get up there – though I’d hardly call it nasty myself.” He gave a small chuckle and I smiled at him. “Anthon’s in the porn industry.” I blinked.

Porn?!” I exclaimed. The man bit his lip.

“You can leave now, and I’ll just tell him you didn’t turn up.” I frowned. What would Yuki think? I sighed and shook my head. This... This could be my big break. This could finally get me out of that godforsaken hole that I’m supposed to call home.

“No, that’s okay,” I said. “I... I’ll try it out, I guess.” The man looked at me and shrugged.

“Okay. We need to sort out some formalities too, to make sure nothing can go wrong.” I nodded. “Okay. Any STI’s?” I blinked.

“Uh... I don’t think so. Wait, what does that stand for again?” The man smirked at me.

“Sexually Transmitted Illnesses,” he informed me, and I nodded. “We can’t say diseases anymore. Apparently it’s offensive to the people who have the diseases.” I almost laughed out loud at that. “I’ll help narrow it down. Have you ever had unprotected sex?” I swallowed.

“Yeah... I have. I could ask Yuki, see if he’s could’ve given me anything. Other than that, I shouldn’t think so. I mean there’s nothing wrong down there, if that’s what you mean.” The man smiled at me and nodded.

“You do that honey.” I took out my phone and rang Yuki. After about five or six rings, it went to answer phone. I sighed and hung up. I can’t deal with answer phones.

“He’s probably driving,” I said. The man nodded and went back to the laptop.

“Age?” I opened my mouth to say fifteen, but then I stopped. If I said I was fifteen, they wouldn’t accept me, because they could be shut down for producing child porn. So I spoke again.

“Seventeen.” The man raised an eyebrow.

“Honey, you don’t look seventeen, nor should you forget your own age.” I swallowed and sighed.

“Fine,” I said. “I just turned sixteen.” I lied again, but this time he fell for it.

“That’s better.”

After all the details were filled out, the man – who I found out was called Jordan – led me upstairs. Lots of people were milling around. The upstairs was just one huge room and then a bathroom, with cameras set up in the main room, both for photography and for videoing. I frowned and turned to Jordan.
