"She-she's my dream girl. Sure she's- no we have had our problems but isn't that what relationships are all about" Kian persuaded, his tone desperate and eyes passionate

He had let his plan of proposing to his current girlfriend Kelsey accidentally slip when his mum asked him about his day. He was hoping she wouldn't find out until later on but his nerves were overflowing and his mother had always been extremely close to him . They never kept any secrets from each other

His mothers hazel eyes wrinkled at the end as her face unexpectedly lit up with a smile. Years of old age were erased as his once weak and slow mother jumped of the seat in excitement and pulled him up to dance with her. He wasn't ashamed to admit that the happiness in her eyes brought him more joy and contentment than anybody and anything else ever had

His mother had bought him into this world all the while protecting him from it. She was the reason he was here today and he didn't plan or replacing her with anybody or choosing her over anybody including Kelsey. He would always treat her like the queen she was and loved her more than words could subscribe

"My son.....In love? With an amazing and gorgeous woman who loves him back. Who would have thought" his mother cheered giddily, placing herself down on the couch and smiling at him

"Thanks mum" Kian replied sarcastically while rolling his eyes before chuckling and walking towards her

"It's happening tonight, I hope she says Yes" Kian stated, using the sentence as a code for his true emotions and worries that his mother instantly picked up on

"Of course she will, I've seen it in her eyes. Shes always glancing at you like the princes in Disney movies do and just like the princesses you don't notice" the statement bought him relief along with embarrassment and in that moment he couldn't help but be extremely thankful for his mother

"You know what your right! I'll be back before 10 I love you!!!" The eager teen shouted, grabbing his jacket and sprinting out the door with a crazy grin on his face

He was going to propose to Kelsey as soon as he saw her. No regrets......
