It's dark and disappointed screams fill the room.

"Humanity."

A confused silence overtakes the arena.

"Look how far you've fallen."

Screams. It's slowly beginning to register.

"Lining up in the sweltering heat for hours."

The screams are hesitant, unsure if the man behind the voice is actually present.

"Huddling together in the dark, like beasts!"

Flashes. There, in the front of the room. Screams erupt from every corner. There's no doubt anymore. They've seen him with their own eyes. Loki. You stand next to the stage, smirking when he nearly loses control due to his delight. He masks his pleasure with a smirk. The room goes crazy. Without having to say another word, the crowd begins chanting.

"Loki. Loki. Loki. Loki."

He raises a finger to his mouth shushing the crowd. He loves this. He loves having control over the room. You roll your eyes at the look of pure pleasure on his face. The crowd hangs intently on every word that leaves his lips, seizing every opportunity to express their adoration by once again filling the room with ecstatic cries of worship. You watch him closely as he speaks. You see the desperation in his face. It's taking every fiber in his body not to break character. He breaks. More than once. He tries desperately to cover it with an evil grin.

"Say my name," he states simply.

"Loki!"

"Say my name," he presses.

"Loki!"

"Say my name!"

"Loki!"

"SAY MY NAAAAME!"

"LOKI!!"

The room is almost silent when, from somewhere in the crowd, a man cries out.

"My wife loves you!"

He can't. He nearly loses it right there on stage in front of everyone, just barely able to hold himself together.

"Well. It seems, I have an army."

The crowd cheers for their beloved God of Mischief before being hushed one last time.

"Feast your eyes!" he orders, pointing to the large screen before rushing off of the stage.

He's swarmed by the cast of the next Captain American movie, all complimenting him on the performance. He thanks them before the lights go out and Marvel footage begins to show. The room silences and he makes his way toward you.

"Well?" he asks.

"Sh. I'm watching this," you smirk, not looking at him.

He rolls his eyes and turns his attention to the screen. As soon as the lights go back up, he's forcing you to look at him.

"How was it?"

"It was fantastic," you grin. "You almost broke character."

"I did not!" he scoffs.

"Tom, that guy's wife loves you."

He chuckles. "Okay, so maybe I almost lost it."

"I didn't think you were going to make it off stage. I really, really thought you were going to break down in front of everyone," you laugh, tossing your head back.
