Time After Time

Chapter 1: Anniversary

Florence's P.O.V.

The first time I thought of this relationship, I never thought that it will last longer. Today is our anniversary and it's currently August 16,2016. I received a text from him yesterday and greeted me in advance then invited me for a dinner, and now it is 6 p.m. in the evening and I'm waiting for him here at our house.

"Florence! Happy Anniversary sainyo ni Clark" bati sakin ni manang.

Si manang Nilda na ang nagpalaki sakin simula ung namatay sina mommy at daddy, while on the other hand, my unvle and auntie from my mother side supports me financially since they are the one who's managing our company.

"Thank you Manang!" then I smiled at her. Kilala na si Clark dito sa bahay kase sya lang naman ang kauna-unahan kong boyfriend na dinala ko sa bahay. When my uncle and auntie knew aout our relationship, they were both happy for me. And now we're celebrating our first anniversary and I'm very happy.

I glance at my phone and look if Clark texted me, but there's none, so I decided to text him and ask if where he is now.

To Clark:

Clark, where are you? I'm dressed up na, you can catch me now. :)

sent: 6:30 p.m.

Then after 10 minutes, he replied.

From Clark: 

I'm sorry Florence. :* May inayos lang ako. i'm on my way there. I love you.

To Clark: 

It's okay, I understand. take care. I love you.

I unconsciously smile. this guy really knows how to touch my heart.

*Beep* *Beep*

"Florence! Nasa labas na si Clark" sabi sakin ni manang haang pangiti-ngiti pa, kaya pati ako tuloy ako napapangiti.

"Alis na ako manang" then I hug her before I step out of the house.

And there I saw him outside, leaning at his car, holding a bouquet of sunflowers which is my favorite. I smiled at him nung nasa harapan na nya ako.

"I really can't help to smile whenever I see your face" sabi nya habang nakatitig sa mga mata ko. Nakikita ko ang saya sa kanyang mga mata kahit na mukha na syang pagod at stress.

"Happy Anniversary, love!" then he gave me the flowers.

"Happy Anniversary" then I kissed him on his cheeks which made his ear so red. He's always like that, he explained to me last time that when he's flattered, his ears become red. And I find it cute.

Sumakay na kami sa sasakyan nya nya at nag-drive lang sya kung san man kami pupunta.

Hindi ko namalayan na nakatulog na pala ako sa byahe. At ayon sa kanya, nandito daw kami ngayon sa private resort nila sa Batangas. Bumaba agad ako ng kanyang sasakyan at agad kong naramdaman ang lamig ng hangin pero kahit ganon ay kitang-kita ko ang mga alon sa dagat na lalong nagpapaganda ng gabing ito.

"Tara?" yaya nya sakin. Agad naman akong tumango at ngumiti sa kanya.

Hinawakan nya ang kamay ko habang naglalakad kami sa dalampasigan kung saan nakikita ko ang blanket at mga pagkaing pinahanda nya siguro.

Umupo kaming dalawa at wala pang nagsasalita samin.

"A perfect place for a perfect girl" bulong nya habang nakatingin sa karagatan.

Nanatili naman ang mga mata ko sakanya. Oh God! What have I done to deserve this man in front of me.

"Florence! Don't you dare leave me" seryoso nyang sabi sakin.

"I never imagine myself walking away from you" seryoso ko ding sinabi sakanya.

At agad kong na namang nakikita ang pamumula ng kanyang mga tenga.

Sinimulan na namin ang pagkain na nakahanda at wala kaming ginawa kundi ang magkwentuhan pati na din sa school namin since bukas ay may pasok na ulit kami. Ang kinukuha kong course ay Culinary Arts samantalang ang kanya ay Business Management.

Natapos ang gabing ito nang ihatid nya ako sa bahay.

"See you tomorrow, Florence. Thank you for this night"

"Thank you din! I enjoyed it. Take care of yourself. Drive home safely" 

Then he hug me for a moment, after that, I decided to get inside.

I'm looking forward to our next anniversaries. I walk straight at my room and unconsciously smile when I read his text message.

From Clark:

I love you. good night, Love.

I surely love this man from the bottom of my heart.
