"Wishing on the moon again gajeel?"
I turn and watch as panther-Lily emerges from the cave we share at the edge of a very hot desert. I got lucky finding this place with the only oasis for miles beyond miles around. It was also perfect because there was a mesa right beside it big enough for a dragon to live in. Obviously, I had to gut it a little to make more room but I got the job done.
Panther-Lily sat down next to me and looked up at me waiting for an answer.
"I never wished on the moon! What gave you that idea?" I sneered a little.
He laughed at me "you make it to obvious."
I glared at him but I knew I couldn't give him shit for making fun of me for it he did the same thing wishing he could go back to his old life. Poor cat had it all till someone cursed him and turned him into a little cat forever, he used to be a god of this place. Being the same height as I am now well over 6 feet.
"Yeah yeah" I commented back "whatever"
We sat there in silence for what seemed like a long time lost in our thoughts of the past.
"Think you will ever find your mate?" He asked suddenly looking up at me.
I sighed "Lily I have been alive for over 500 years if I haven't found her then I'm not going to find her now."
He stood up and punched my side.
"What the hell was that for cat?!" I yell ready to toss him into the water.
"I am... was a god gajeel and I didn't find my soul mate till I was well over 10,000 years old... you will find her someday."
He turned to go back into the cave when I asked:: "how did she die?"
He stopped and turned to look at me. "The same day I got cursed she was killed right in front of my eyes, I was told a curse for the rest of my life wasn't enough ... so she killed her."
I flinched damn poor bastard. He stood there for awhile waiting to see if I'd answer he turned to leave as I looked up to the sky I said:: " sometimes the stars move to outline her face but it's only for a second then it's gone." I whispered.
We remained quiet for awhile taking in the information we shared with each other then suddenly he laughed.
"What's so funny?!" I yelled as I turned to look at him.
"I didn't know you turned into such a puss gajeel." He taunted I picked up a rock and chucked it at him but he sprouted his wings and flew upwards dodging the rock as it missed him by inches.
"You wanna say that one to my face you fucking kitty cat!"
He laughed "thems fighting words." But he turned and flew into the cave, I looked up at the sky one more time as the stars granted me a second to see her face when she was gone.
