The bell tolls for midnight hours,
unrooting mysterious things that lurk in jaded bowers.
Crucifixes hum with delirious anxiety,
vampires crawl up from their rotting tombs.
Aching from centuries of maddening sobriety,
reeking rancidly of unearthed fumes.
Mist haunts the cathedral city at night,
coffins crack open beneath the ruins hidden from sight.
Terror strikes the roaming fools,
invisible footsteps prance across cobblestone nightmares.
Draining the essence of virgin jewels,
seeking dreadful affairs with maiden heirs.
In a single night the beautiful city became an abysmal wreck,
screams filled the air as blood seeped from their necks.
