<Brandy>

 Before anything, magpapakilala muna ako. Ako si Brandestein Joy Valdez, but you can call me Brandy. I'm 21 years old and taking up Mechanical Engineering in St. Catherine University. Gwapo, matangkad, sporty, may konting muscles, maputi, chinito, at mayaman. Swerte ko no? Asa akin na ang lahat, what more can I ask for?

Since bata palang ako, namulat na ako sa karangyaan. I got everything I wanted. I was and still am a spoiled brat. But that wasn't my parents fault. It was Lolo Maxwell's. Siya ang laging kumukunsinti sa akin kaya naman mahal na mahal ko ang Lolo ko. He gave everything I wanted be it a toy car or a house. So how could I not accept his one request?

I was twelve when Lolo told me that I was bound to be married to his best friend's grandson. I rejected it of course! Never did I imagine that I would be married at such a young age, let alone to a boy! Ipinaliwanag nila sa akin nina mommy na it was a misunderstanding but that they are still willing to marry me to him. I was so furious at them that time! Who are they to just make decisions for me? Hindi ako laruan para ipamigay na lang kung sino-sino!

But my rejection backfired. My Lolo's condition took a turn for the worse. He did not take his medications nor did he talked to me. Whenever I wanted to talk to him, he would just shrug me off like I was no one. Masakit para sa aking makita siyang ganoon. Kaya naman I came up with a decision.

<Flashback>

"Lo?"  kinatok ko ang kwarto niya. Walang sumagot. Kinatok ko ulit siya pero wala talaga. Nag-panic ako kaya naman pinabuksan ko agad-agad ang pinto. Nang mabuksan ko ito ay nakita ko si Lolo na naka handusay sa lapag. NO! Am I too late?

"LO! LO! Lo gumising ka!" sigaw ko rito habang tinatapik ko ang mga balikat niya. Nang hindi siya sumagot ay inutusan ko sina yaya na tumawag ng ambulansya. Asan ba kasi sina Mom sa mga oras na to?!

"Lo, I-I'll accept the proposal just please don't die on me!" Ngunit di padin siya kumibo. Naluluha na ako nang biglang may marinig ako.
