I awkwardly scratch the back of my neck nodding my head. "Dan!" She shouts hugging me tightly as I hug her back. Such a nostalgic hug.

Cecelia points at me and then Alex as she stands up again besides me. "Do you know each other?" She asks as I nod my head smiling at Alex.

"Know? We used to date each other...for years. Oh my god. How are you? What are you doing? Got anyone special? A family?" I shake my head to all of her questions, I'm doing nothing with my life and I've done nothing. I mean obviously that's a lie because I'm in a band. But...apart from that and selling songs or touring, writing and recording...I do nothing. I feel nothing.

"Nope. Nothing much, you?" She nods her head.

"Business woman, recently split up from my boyfriend and have two kids..." oh my fucking god.

"Wow" she has my fucking dream life. Dream life because she has a purpose of life - she has kids to look after...how I want that desperately.

People are going to think I'm a sad old man in interviews, I've recently been bridging up the idea of kids and stuff. Maybe it's a mental note, something to achieve for in life? "I know right" She laughs rolling her eyes like it's no big deal.

"Where are they?" I say. As if I actually look around to see if I can spot two little kids.

"Oh, one's in boarding school and the other is grounded and inside of his bedroom, he tried setting the school on fire - my friend is looking after them both." I nod my head. I was expecting little toddlers. Not pre-teens.

"How old are they?" I cross my head as I try to figure out the maths.

"My son is eighteen and my daughter is ten" fuck she was young.

"We was dating then." I say crossing my arms as I start to feel uneasy. "Was we? No...I mean I was sixteen when we first started dating right?" I shake my head. I clearly remember her sweet sixteenth, it was the day we broke up she was acting weird. One minute she was happy then the next minute she was angry.

"We broke up on your sixteenth." I mumble under my breath as she makes an 'oh' sound. "Anyway...come on Cece! Let's watch Tove Lo!" Cecelia looks at me and cringes.

"I don't think Cecelia likes Tove Lo much." I say sipping my larger from the plastic cup. "Oh." She says looking lost on what she can do now. I point to the tent again behind me. "But I'm going there now if you wanna join?" Alex immediately nods her head and stands besides me.

"See you around then, phone on." She tells Cecelia as she nods her head before giving me a last hug. "If I don't see you around again, have a good rest of festival weekend and a safe road home." I pat her on the shoulder before I walk off to 'The Other Stage' along side my old ex.

Why did we break up in the first place is what I should remember. "What do you do for a living?" She asks with her sunglasses back on covering her eyes.

"Cecelia more or less told you what I do

"Cecelia more or less told you what I do. I'm the lead singer of Bastille and...yeah...that's basically it..." I sing for a living. Why is it so hard summarising my job up to her? "She loves you guys to bits, I mean I've seen pictures and stuff of you but I guess I never really looked at them hard enough to know it's you." I mean I look completely different to how I used to look and I think that's what she's getting at?

"I almost didn't recognise you too, without your big curly frizzy." She embarrassedly laughs. "Times change, anyway - oh shit...she's already on!" Alex changes the subject as we walk in the end of the tent to see Tove Lo is already on her second song.

But I don't think both of us cares that much

But I don't think both of us cares that much. "This song is about running into an old love when you wasn't expecting it, but not really ready for it." Kill me now.

"Shut up." I laugh.

"What?" Alex laughs standing besides me.

"She's gonna sing the one with Flume." I throw both of my hands up in the air. "Which one is that one?" I point to the stage. "This one-" even though it's a intro.

"Yeah but how does it go?!" Alex screams over the music. "When you say it like that ah ah ahaaa, let me fuck you right back-" that's when a woman standing in front of me turns around and give me evils. I can't help but not to burst out laughing.

"Yeah I have no idea what you just sung - OH I KNOW THIS SONG WOO!" I get my phone out of my pocket and take a picture of the stage.

I caption it:

Watching Tove Lo rock it with an old friend.

I slip my phone back into my pocket. And continue to watch Tove Lo with Alex.
