---ONE WEEK LATER---
Please answer, baby girl. "Ashton, this is the tenth time you've called today, I'm supposed to sleep, I'm sick." She said softly.
"I know, baby, but I have a surprise for u. Come outside in three minutes." I said.
"Isn't it like 20 degrees out?" She asked.
"It's 60, a little cold for us." I said.
"Well it feels like 20, but sure." She said and I couldn't help the giant smile on my face.
I waited for Riley after 4 minutes when I saw her walk out onto her driveway from down the street.
I caught her attention and got her to stand right where I needed her. I quickly zoomed past her on my motorcycle and grabbed her in the process. She laughed and hung onto me as I helped her get on.
"Shit, it's freezing!" She said as we drove through town.
I pulled over next to a Starbucks and gave her my jacket before quickly running into Starbucks and getting her a hot chocolate just how she has it, and running back to her.
"Thank you." She said as we continued our drive around and finally reapproached her house and we got off.
"You know I'm contagious with strep throat and a fever." She said as I put my hand on her back and walked through the front door with her.
" it's worth the risk of getting sick. Besides, don't girls get extra cuddly and love spending time with guys when they're sick?" I asked as we walked up the stairs to her room.
"Mhm." She said as I sat her on her bed.
"Do you want me to leave? Or stay or get you food? What do you want me to do?" I asked.
"I want you to sit right behind me so I can lean back against you while you tell me sweet things and cuddle me and love me as i fall asleep on your shoulder." She said with a small smile.
" well I'm not going to say no to that. Do you want me to put on a movie or something?" I asked and she shook her head no. "No, just you and me, but leave the lights on." She said as I took off my shoes and sat behind her and rubbed her cold arms as she leaned against me with her head on my shoulder.
"What do you want me to tell you?" I whispered softly.
"Sweet things like what you like about me or stuff." She said and wrapped on of my arms around her stomach.
"What I like about you? Everything. You're so kind and caring and just perfect." I said and kissed the top of her head as she looked at me with a sad and hurt expression.
"Do you love me?" She asked softly and I could just hear her voice crack and her eyes tear up.
"Hey, hey." I said carefully as I lifted her chin to look at me.
"Do you?" She asked quietly.
"I love you more than anything, I just don't always say it, and I'm sorry about that." I said and kissed her nose as I wiped her tears.
"Really?" She asked.
"Really. Would I come out here and buy you stuff and give you my jacket and be here now if I didn't?" I asked.
"Well no." She said with a small yawn.
"Try to sleep, I'll tell you a story." I said and she put her head back on my shoulder.
"Once upon a time, about 2 years ago, there were two juniors in high school. The badass dumb boy who had never found the one he wanted to stay with over a week, and the perfect girl who had perfect grades, didn't care about a reputation, but was untrusting of boys after a bad break up.
