“Isn’t it obvious? I want you and your day.” Then he smiled and called for a waiter. “Another Café Latte please.”
“You ordered what?” I asked.
“Yeah. For you. I know Latte’s your favorite.”
“How did you know? Anyway, I’ll get your order.”
Then he held my hand to stop from me standing. “You’re a customer right now so stop thinking about work.”
I looked at him and said, “Let go.”
“Oh sorry.” Then he did what I told him to do so. “Here’s your order ma’am.” Phillip placed the latte in front of me. “Thanks Phil.”
“Okay, so why exactly are you doing this?” I asked.
“I just want to spend time with you.”
“But I barely know you. We just met, remember?”
“Okay so, I am Christopher Willis, call me Chris. I’m the eldest in our family. I’m a CEO of an insurance company, my dad owns. Yeah it’s a bit weird, I’m only 23. And my mom owns a clothing line. You’ll love her, she’s 40 but she has gorgeous red hair. Oh, and my sisters. The other one is 15 and the other is 10. You’ll get along with each other. They’re very pretty and smart too. And, I love taking pictures.” Then he smiled.
“Are you done talking?” I asked“
”Yeah. Almost, what about you?”
“What about me?”
“Tell me something about yourself.”
“And why should I do that?”
“Because I shared some info about so you should also do the same.”
I sighed and said, “Fine. I’m Assha. Assha Smith. I live just a few blocks from here…”
“Really? Me too. We own the only house with purple roof and pink gate.” He interrupted and smiled.
I continued, “My parents are at the country side. They were taking care of our farm.”
“So, you’re rich.”
“Rich… hmmm… yeah we are.” I said.
“So why are you still working here?”
“I just want to try to be independent. Plus, I’m tired of feeding the pigs, ducks and goats.”
He laughed a bit and said, “That’s so good of you.”
“Thanks.” I said and smiled.
“See, you’re prettier when you smile.” He stared at me and smiled.
I looked at him then covered my eyes with my hands.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
I took my hands off and said, “Stop giving me that look.”
“What look?”
“That look you’re using to hypnotize girls.”
“I’m not hypnotizing anyone.”
“Fine. Whatever you say.”
“I’m hungry. Wanna go out and eat somewhere else?”
“What? No… it’s fine. I’ve got work.”
