He lightly shoved my shoulder, trying to lighten the mood. I winced quietly, the bruise on my arm from falling down -or should I say being pushed down- at football practice being irritated. He frowned, coming to a halt to look up at me,
"Are you alright?" I nodded, pulling a tiny smile. We hit the bottom of the stairs, my mum looking at me worried.
"Isn't their something you'd like to tell your mum?" Harry whispered.
"Shut up." I nudged him.
"I'm sorry, mum. I didn't mean to..erm.." I played with my fingers.
"Honey, I understand, but it's not me you should be apologizing to." She shook her head, "Apologize to Harry."
Anne smiled, before I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "No, no apology needed." Harry shrugged. I gave him a quick smile before turning my attention back to Anne.
"It's nice to see you guys again, really." I hugged her.
"Oh, honey, it's always nice to see you and Sam." She smiled, she was always a second mother to me.
"Hey, we're going on a walk." Harry said, "We'll be back in an hour or so, yeah?" I nodded as I grabbed Gemma's hand,
"You're coming too." I tell her. She shakes her head, a smile forming on my face.
"Why do I have to come, I don't feel like exercising." She frowned.
"Because.. I haven't seen you in forever and I said you are coming." I smile.
"I'll buy you ice cream." Harry smirked.
"Fine." She obliged.
I heard Anne and my mum chuckle, "Classic Gemma." They said in unison.
"Does Sam want to come?" I ask my sister and she shook her head, sometimes I swear she hates me.
"Do you want me to bring you back some ice cream?" Harry offered.
"No thanks, Harry. Thanks for the offer though," She smiled, returning to her homework or whatever she was doing. I shrugged my shoulders, grabbing my sweater and throwing it on.
I walked behind Harry and Gemma behind me as we left the house. It was a bit chilly out, Spring was just approaching, meaning it'd warm up. We walked down the sidewalk of my house, and something hit me. "Harry, aren't you worried about people seeing you, you're an international pop star now." I stated as he shrugged.
"What? I can walk down the streets of my hometown. Who cares if people see me, I take a picture with them or sign an autograph." He chuckled.
I sighed, turning to Gemma. "How's college?" I asked her and a smile immediately broke out on her face.
"It's great! Really, all the people are so nice and the Professor's are awesome." She beamed.
"When do you have to go back." I pouted. She sighed, "Well, I'm off for Spring Break, so I have two weeks." I frowned.
"I only have two weeks with you," Her face dropping to a frown too.
"Hey, that's better for me." Harry chuckled as I gasped, turning around and hitting him in the chest.
"I'm kidding!" He threw his hands up in defense, Gemma smirking. "She's my sister, of course I'll miss her!" He smiled, nudging her shoulder playfully. We were approaching the park pretty soon and I now took the time to witness Harry's attire. He wore a red and black plaid shirt that was unbuttoned to show partial chest; black skinny jeans hugged his long legs and he wore his famous brown boots. His hair was pushed back in a beanie, curls peaking out from the front and a pair of black ray ban sunglasses.
He gave me a confused lip and that's when I realized that I was staring. Awkward much? I bit my lip, mumbling, "Sorry." He just stared at me, quite uncomfortably might I add. I shook my head as I walked over to a park bench, sitting down. Harry and Gemma strolled over and joined me. I sighed, I hadn't been here in forever. I never wanted to come by myself and I didn't have friends really, plus Sam wouldn't want to come with me.
"Here," Harry handed Gemma a few pounds from his wallet, "Pretty please can you buy us ice cream." He pouted as she glared at him, snatching the money from his hand.
"Fine, but don't be surprised when you don't get any change back." She snarled, making me chuckle. Harry only rolled his eyes as she strolled off. He eyed me up and down again, in that very uncomfortable way. I frowned, crossing my legs as I looked down at my exposed skin -due to the shorts I was wearing.
"What?" I blurted out, not meaning for my voice to crack.
"Nothing," He chuckled, "You just grew, that's all." He smiled.
"Yes. That happens over the years, it's a part of life." I said almost sarcastically. He chuckled, "Same old Jordan."
I frowned, "Actually no, I've changed a lot."
He shook his head. "Not from the looks of it, you're the same old girl." I began to get angry. How would he know? He left for how many year's again?
"How would you know?" I stood up, but he pulled me back down.
"I wouldn't." He sighed.
"Exactly! Because you weren't here, were you now?" I rolled my eyes, a frown immediately forming on his face.
"I'm sorry." He bit his bottom lip. I nodded, staring at my bare thighs.
I took a deep breath before speaking up again, "I haven't been here in awhile." I said, looking around the park as the children played and screamed.
"Why not?" He asked and I shrugged.
"I don't like coming by myself." He looked at me confused.
"Come with Sam." He frowned his eyebrows.
"Yeah, well we don't exactly 'bond'.. Actually sometimes I swear she doesn't know I exist." I shake my head.
"I am certain Sam knows you exist, she just doesn't talk much.. I can tell. She looks up to you, I mean you're the closest to perfect. You're smart, and beautiful." He shrugged. I blushed lightly and did my best to try and hide it. What was up with him? I nodded slightly, biting my lip.
"Thanks, I mean really." I smiled, him nodding.
"I have to bring the guys over to meet you guys." He smiled.
"I'd like that. They're here?" I asked.
"Yes of course, well they live close by." He grinned. It was silent for awhile. Harry turned to look at me, his eyes meeting mine. He smiled that familiar toothy grin as I stared at him. He slowly started to lean in and my eyes instantly went wide. What was he doing? Where was Gemma when I needed her? Was he going to kiss me?
"Harry, what are you doing?" I shrieked as I quickly stood to my feet. Just then Gemma approached us, the tray of frozen yogurt in her hands. Harry stood to his feet and faced me again, laughing hysterically. He reached out and touched my hair, pulling it slightly.
"You have a leaf in your hair." He chuckled, holding the leaf in front of my face. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed at my stupidity as I blushed furiously, taking the leaf from his hand.
"Oh," I mumbled.
"You didn't think I was going to kiss you? I was not going to kiss you." He chuckled as I laughed nervously.
"That'd be weird." I stated as he nodded.
"Am I missing something?" Gemma asked, handing me one of the medium sized bowls.
"Nope." I said, quickly shoving the spoon in my mouth. We talked a little while and began walking back towards my house. Harry pulled out his phone, sliding his finger across the screen.
"Who are you calling?" I asked.
"The boys, you wanted to meet them, right?" He said as he pressed the phone to his ear, I nodded. "Good."
Yay she gets to meet the boys now.. When the drama starts ;) Was Harry going to kiss her?
