We again didn't have practice the following Monday, this time because of Presidents' Day, but on Wednesday we vowed to practice hard. We had to win at least two games this season, and as badly as we were playing now, it didn't seem like we were going to. We needed to improve.
Well, only a few of us vowed to practice hard. The rest seemed resigned that we sucked and that practice would do no good.
I loved all my teammates, but I loathed their mindsets. All the practice won't do any good if someone is expecting to lose, because they've given up before the game has even started! You're going to lose if you're expecting to lose, there's no way around it!
