Meeting

Me and Joey pulled up to my house, to find Rebecka and Damon waiting outside. Joey groaned.

"Joey remember, just be cool." I said. He rolled his eyes and got out of the car.

"So Rebecka this is Joey." Joey and Rebecka smiled at each other.

"Hi." Joey said. He leaned into my ear and whispered. "She's kinda hot."

Rebecka laughed. "Thank you!"

"Vampire hearing." I said as I opened the door. I could just feel the tension between Damon and Joey.

They all sat down on my couch. "Oh shit!" I yelled. "Stay quiet. I need to make sure my dad is not home."

I started walking about the house searching for my dad. Figuring since he's a vampire hunter he will know how to tell who's a vampire. I found my dad of course in the basement. "Dad." I didn't know what to say. "Never mind!" I ran back upstairs.

"Rebecka can we go to your place instead my dad's here." I said super fast thinking my dad would be up here soon to find two unwelcome guests.

Damon cleared is throat. "As long as we stay out of my room."

I looked at Rebecka and she shook her head. "Let's go."

Damon walked far ahead of us. Rebecka was to my right and Joey was on my left.

"What's in Damon's room?" I asked Rebecka.

"Probably some half naked girl he used to feed on and um... you now."

I faked a laugh hoping she was kidding. Joey and Rebecka looked at me. "What?" I said.

"We all know you like him." Rebecka said then looked at Joey he nodded his head.

I didn't say anything. Do I really make it that obvious? Damon is a 800 something year old vampire he would never date me anyway. Rebecka basically just said he only uses human girls for blood and sex. I'm not a vampire so he wouldn't want to date me.

We walked past Ian. I tried not to make eye contact with him. Joey flipped him off. I'm very proud of Joey, he's being cool around the vampires, probably because of Rebecka. To me they would be a cute couple, if he didn't hate vampires. They're both blondes, and are always there for their friends. Like me and Damon, we both have black hair. We can be reckless and carefree.

We finally got to their house. Seriously I am so tempted to go up and his room and throw whoever is up there out of the window. I've never been in his room. I don't even know where it is! I admit to myself I am a tad bit jealous.

"Hi!" a girl squealed from the top of the stairs. She's wearing one of Damon's shirts and probably nothing but underpants underneath. I stopped staring at the half naked girl and immediately flipped my eyes to Damon. He was looking at me, not the girl.  "Looks like your secret found us." I said quietly knowing he could hear me. I know I can't get mad me and Damon are just friends. I looked away from Damon and back at the girl. She looked just a few years older than me. She had giant blue eyes, and strawberry blonde hair. She was still smiling. She looks like an idiot to me.

"Damon are you going to introduce us? Especially since she's in my house." Rebecka interrupted my thoughts. Damon opened his mouth as if he was going to speak but closed it again.

"Well?" I said. He looked back at me and grinned.

"This is... Um." he looked back up at her. Did he seriously forget her name?

"Tiffany!" she squealed again.

"Right! This is Tiffany. And these guys are my friends." he put more force on the word "friends". I started studying the girl. Come to think of it she's very pretty. I looked at her neck and arms to find bite marks. "Why is she letting him hurt her like that?" I repeated in my head over and over again. Anyone else would've left by now.

I looked at Damon to find him already looking at me. "Katherine." he said. "I wanna show you something."

I gulped. He started walking up the stairs. I looked at Rebecka and she shrugged her shoulders. I followed him up. He stopped at Tiffany and grabbed her arm tightly. "Don't follow us, why don't you go downstairs." he said looking into her eyes. Just then I realized, he has been compelling her, that's why she's not leaving. We continued on until we got to one room, which I assumed is his room.

His room is huge! It's very old fashioned and fancy. Totally not what I expected. He got to his dresser and opened the top left drawer where he took out a small wooden box. He faced me and opened it. "This was my mother's," he said holding a very old looking bracelet. "I kept it after she passed. I want you too have it." he grabbed my arm and put it on my wrist.

"Why me?" I could feel my face heating up.

"I like you. And you're one of the few people who isn't scared of me or hates me." he half smiled.

"I promise I'll take great care of it." I didn't know what else to say. I do like him a lot but I'm too scared to say it.

Or maybe I'm too scared to date a vampire.
