"LET THE FIGHT COMMENCE!"
Katelyn lunged at me, with a light blue sword. As she swiped it, roughly aiming for my face, I slid down last second and silently crept behind her.
Once she caught me, I parried her attack before swiping my dagger lightly against the arm wielding the sword.
"Ow..." she mumbled before attacking again.
We fought more, earning both her and I some cuts and bruises, but it didn't quite end yet; we had to pin someone down for 15 seconds- or in other words, enough time to slit their throat and end their life.
As she attacked, I was about to block it with my dagger but she swiftly moved, and ended up cutting my left leg deep and causing me to lose balance.
I accidentally threw my dagger sidewards out of frustration and ended up falling over. Whoops, I am a clumsy potato.
She turned around and regained her energy and breath a little for a few seconds while I was on the floor.
That was her mistake.
As a spy, I was trained to quickly recover from any wound- no matter how fatal it was. (Well, unless I'd faint. That couldn't exactly be controlled.)
A cut like this would take a matter of seconds to recover from, 30 at most. It wasn't too bad compared to accidentally slamming into walls when my grappling hook malfunctioned once.
After what was 10 minutes in my mind -but really was just 3 seconds- I pulled myself together and inched closer and closer to the dagger, ignoring the pain.
"C'mon, almost there..." I muttered under my breath.
And... I got it. I slowly stood up, regaining my balance and stealthily crawled to Kate.
Let's just say the next thing she saw was me knocking her to the floor and pinning the dagger against her neck.
"And... 15." I smiled.
"Phoenix is the winner!" Principal Layla announced.
I helped Katelyn up. "Congrats, Phe. You are now the combat alpha of Phoenix Drop High."
"Heh, thanks. Now let's see who the boys are."
Kate and I made it up the bleachers with my other friends, including the Sky Army whose potions wore out, some congratulating me as well.
The boys were none other than Aaron and Ein, of course. "Alright, let the fight co--"
"Excuse me, may I say something?" Ein asked.
"Okay, go ahead."
"Aaron Lycan, I challenge you for the title of not only Combat Alpha but also Werewolf Alpha," he yelled at Aaron.
"Is that even legal?!" Blaze, one of the werewolves asked.
"Is that legal?" Mr. Arnold asked Layla. Blaze said, "Hey, that's what I said!"
"I suppose, I mean werewolves do fight for alpha position..." Layla trailed off.
Aaron thought about it. "No."
"Why? Are you a coward, Aaron?" Ein taunted.
"You know what? Fine, I'll accept your challenge."
"Now that that's settled... FIGHT!"
Since Author~kun is bad at describing fight scenes, I'll summarized it.
(Hey! Don't break the fourth wall!)
Too bad, already did. Anyways, it was a close match... but Ein said something to Aaron and then pinned him down.
"Ein is the Alpha, of both combat and werewolves!"
Aaron left the gym, with an angered expression on his face.
Huh, weird. I thought. Aaron doesn't usually get mad over these things. Oh well.
The Sky Army congratulated Ein before going back home. Today was... definitely interesting.
