Chapter 11

2.9K 163 13

I scrunch my nose up when I feel the sun on my face that is coming through my opened curtain. Sunday. Great. Tomorrow I have to go back to school. To face Dom. And Alison. The thought of her makes me just want to stab her in the throat.

I slowly make my way out of my room and into the kitchen. Mia is in there which scared the hell out of me. I forgot she spent the night last night. She wanted to make sure I was going to be okay. How can a sweet and caring girl like Mia be related to an asshole like Dom.

"How are you feeling?" Mia asks, handing me a plate of food.

Avery is sitting in the living room watching cartoons. I plop down onto my  chair and sigh.

"What do you think?" I state, shoving the scrambled eggs into my mouth.

"It will get better."

Yeah. Okay. And pigs will be flying around when we walk outside. I decide to stay quiet. I wonder what Dom is doing right now. Shut up, Letty. You don't care about him. Not after what he did.

"Hey, do you care about going to a party tonight?" I ask Mia, finishing the last of my food.

"You sure that's a good idea?" she asks, raising her eyebrows.

"Absolutely. Avery can spend the night with her friend tonight, and we can go to the party." I smile, liking the idea.

After we drop Avery off, Mia and I stop by her house to let her pick out an outfit to wear. Dom wasn't there which Mia found strange. Who knows maybe he decided to go spend the night with Alison.

Mia decided to go with a simple red dress that showed her curves in all the right places with black heels. Her hair is left in loose curls, cascading down her back. She looks stunning.

"All the guys are going to be all over you tonight." I say with a laugh.

"The only guy I want all over me tonight is Brian." she smiles, thinking about something.

"Oh my God!"

"What?" she looks over at me before looking back at the road.

"You slept with him!" I point out, putting the pieces together.

"Quiet down!" she blushes.

"No one can hear me. We are the only ones in the car." I laugh. "So..what was it like?" I ask, wiggling my eyebrows.

"Good..amazing. Indescribable. He was so gentle with me."

"What about you?" she asks, smiling.

"What do you mean?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"Who was the lucky guy?"

I look down at my lap, and play with my hands.

"Wait...Are you a virgin?" she asks in disbelief.

"Maybe.." I look out the window, avoiding her gaze.

We finally pull up to my house so I can get ready for the party.

"I had no idea. What about that one kid you went out with the other day?"

"Who? Andrew? We just basically talked. That's it."

"He didn't make a move?" she asks, as we get out of the car.

"He did..."

"So what did y'all do?"

"Nothing. I backed out..." I look away, feeling like an idiot.

What kind of girl backs out from a kiss. I still remember what his facial expression was when I leaned away from him. Hurt. Rejected.

"So have you ever kissed a guy?"

I ignore her question and walk straight to my closet, looking for something to wear.

"No, I never have." I sigh.

"So, you backed out of kissing him because you were afraid?" she asks, plopping down on my bed.

"Yes. I'm afraid I will be terrible at kissing." I finally pick a dress, and lay it out on my bed beside Mia.

"There is nothing to be afraid of. Just lean in when they do and connect lips."

"Geez, you make it sound so romantic." I laugh, pulling off my shirt and shorts.

I slip on the black dress, and look into my body mirror. It fits every single curve I have, perfectly. I smooth it out before starting to put eye liner on, and mascara. Mia walks over to me and starts fixing my hair.

"It is romantic when you do it. Well depending on who it is."

"Maybe I should just pick a random person and kiss them." I say, putting on pink lipstick.

"Go for it!" Mia encourages.

"Maybe..." I sigh before slipping on my black heels.

I just hope nothing too crazy happens tonight.

When we pull up to the big white house where the party is being held, we get out. People are stumbling around the yard drunk off their ass. I don't plan on getting that wasted. We walk inside the house to even more people being drunk. We finally make our way to the kitchen to make our first drink.

As I'm making my drink, I can't help but notice a guy that keeps staring at me out of the corner of my eye. He was not my type at all. There's only one guy that is my type. I shove that thought in the back of my head.

The guy gets close in hearing range.

"Hey, Mia!" I kind of shout, so I can make sure he hears me.

"Yeah?" she looks up, taking a sip of her drink and wincing.

"Do you have a tampon?" In the corner of my eye, I see the guy stop and turn back around, walking away quickly.

"What? You're not even on your period." She asks, confused.

"I know. There was a guy walking over to talk to me, and he wasn't my type." I smile when I see she catches on.

"I need to start doing that." she laughs.

I laugh along with her, downing my cup. The drink was pretty strong, but I handled it. I look around to see all the people before my eyes land on blues one that are already staring at me.

"I'm gonna need another drink." I say, as I see the blonde bitch standing next to Dom.
