Josh was never as confused as he was now. He always took Y/n as the innocent girl from high school. Although he was disappointed that the photo was not meant for him, he now knew what he wanted. He admired that she was loyal to her boyfriend. Nevertheless, Josh was forced to continue his show. He had only went offstage for a couple minutes while Tyler was giving a speech so he could get a bottle of water and check his notifications.
When he came back onstage, the crowd went crazy. Tyler finished his speech as Josh clambered back into his drum seat. He smiled and bit his lip as the beginning of "Lane Boy" played. It was probably Josh's favorite song he performed and not because of his solo.
The intensity of the song always made Josh happy. "Lane Boy" never failed to get the crowd riled up. However, no matter how happy touring made him, he always was happy to be home. He had one month left of tour, then he'd be back in California. There was on thing he looked forward to the most: finding out if Y/n actually took heed to his warning. He thought of what would happy when he got home if that John dude was gone. With the thoughts clustering his mind, he faltered slightly on hitting the snare, accidentally hitting the rim. He pushed through the mess up and continued drumming. He tried to keep his thoughts clear as the song progressed.
Time: 3:27 pm (10:27 pm for Josh)
Needless to say, the remainder of the show went off without a hitch. He kept impure thoughts away, only focusing on the songs being played. After Tyler and Josh bowed, Josh darted to the bus. He quickly shut the door behind him and climbed into his bunk. After shutting the curtain, the plugged in his phone. Josh debated calling the girl who sent him not-so-innocent pictures. However, little did either of them know, they'd get attached easily, but I digress. Josh took an unsteady breath and hit call on Y/n's contact page...

You were laying in bed, looking at memes when Josh's bright, smiling face popped up on your screen. You were confused at first, as you didn't know the time for him. Nevertheless, you answered. At that moment, you didn't care about the picture you had sent him, or the way he responded to it. All you cared for was the fact that you got to talk to your old friend.
You hit the green "answer" button on your phone, then put it on speaker. "Hello, Joshua," you stated, smiling at your words.
You giggled as you heard a low groan from the other side of the phone. "How many times have I told you not to call me by my full name?" Josh asked rhetorically, laughing afterwards.
Your curiosity got the best of you. "Josh, why are you calling me?"
A sigh came through the other end of the call and you didn't know what to expect. "Look, I just wanted to know if you stopped being with Jo-"
"Josh... I understand what you said, but I can't comply with your requ-" It was Josh's turn to cut you off.
"Bullshit. We both know that you don't regret what you sent me, sweetheart. We also know that I could treat you way better than him. Sexually and emotionally," He spat, jarring you slightly.
You felt your cheeks heat up, as you knew he was correct. John could flare up emotions, but Josh had always made you extremely happy. Not to mention the fact that Josh was hot as hell.
"Josh, we shouldn't be talking about this," you sighed out. You knew you shouldn't, but damn did you want to continue this conversation.
Josh groaned and replied with no thought to his response. "Jesus. You don't think I know this, Y/n? I've known you since we were fourteen and you've only gotten sexier. And you know this isn't one sided. It's obvious what you want, so just admit it to yourself and John and everything will be happy!" You heard a silence and knew he hung up the phone.
His words cluttered your mind all day and into the night. The whole day consisted of you thinking of him.
3rd person omniscient
Little did you know, the whole time you were awake thinking of him, he was asleep on his tour bus dreaming about you.
