Chapter Seventeen

Start from the beginning

"How are you feeling, his voice sounding husky, making me think he just woke up too.

He thought of me when he first woke up, I feel special.

"I'm okay, what about you?" I asked, doing my best not to stutter again.

"I'm great," He stopped for a moment and there was a rustling noise in the background.

"I've gotta go." He said, his voice sounding deep and angry, before he hung up.

I took the phone away from my ear and looked at it with a puzzled expression.

"Well that was weird." I thought aloud, before setting it back on the nightstand and closing my eyes again.

I'm NOT ready to get up.

Then my phone dinged.

I groaned dramatically before grabbing it and looking at a text from Tyler.

Tyler: Good mornin' beautiful

Me: I thought we were just going to be friends for now

Tyler: and I can't call my friend beautiful?

Me: it's kind of weird

Tyler: fine. Good Morning ugly

Me: I hate you

Tyler: no you don't, you love me

Me: whatever helps you sleep at night

Tyler: you hurt my feelings

Me: I'm sure I did. I'll talk to you later

I turned my phone off and put it back on my nightstand, closing my eyes again.

I was almost asleep when my phone went off again.

I wanted to cry.....uh-oh, I'm PMSing.

I grabbed my phone and looked at a new message from Taylor.

Taylor: hey babe, want to go to the fair today?

Me: fine. Let me get dressed, be here in about ten minutes or I'm not going

Taylor: okay, I'll be there in an hour

Taylor: kidding, lighten up!

I rolled my eyes, then rolled out of bed and walked over to my closet, yawning.

I grabbed a white halter top, black jeans, and black converse and put it all on.

I grabbed my phone and purse and waited patiently on the couch for Taylor after telling Kara I was going out with Taylor for the day.

Finally there was a knock on the door and I ran to get it.

I opened it up to reveal a grinning Taylor.

"Why are you grinning?" I asked hesitantly, eyeing her cautiously.

"Because Nick told me about your talk last night," Her face fell as she looked deep in thought.

"But I thought I was supposed to ship you with Tyler....I don't know anymore! Dyler, or Nevan, they both have a nice ring, and I want you to be my sister-in-law, but-ugh, I don't know!" She exclaimed, and I rolled my eyes.

"Ship me with neither because I don't know what's going to happen." I stated, and she sighed.

"Fine, but you're going to end up with one of them." She said as if it were a fact.

She looped her arm with mine and pulled me out to her car.

We bought the tickets and went to the tallest roller coaster in the fair.

I climbed in, and Taylor climbed in beside me, a wide grin stretching across her face.

"Are you okay?" She asked me, and I looked over at her concerned expression.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I said, and offered her a smile that didn't quite reach my eyes.

"Okay." She said, but she sounded unsure.

The ride started moving and we started going up hill, the anticipation building inside of us.

Then we reached the top and started to roll down, screams of excitement escaping from our mouths.

We threw our arms in the air and kept our feet firmly planted to the floor of the coaster.

"This is awesome!" I screamed, and Taylor screeched in reply.
